Hey, nice concept, going out of control on high speeds. I think that being unable to turn the car will make the player want to go slower though. Maybe when you go faster, the car turns faster when you press left and right, so its harder to control. That way the player will want to go fast but the game will be harder. Just an idea. :)
Nice idea, I think a better way to implement it would be a car that gets harder and harder to control the faster you go? Including breaks for instance.
Right now, it doesn't allow for much control or planification, especially since I was not able to cool down the nitro much.
Thank you for trying out my game! I'll try out reworking the nitro system to give the player more control on how they can interact with the buildup and loss of control. I didn't understand what you meant by "Including breaks for instance", did you mean that maybe the car should stop when the player goes too fast? Thank you for your feedback and I will try updating the game with improvements!
Rather than having a Nitro effect, the game feels like the power steering went out. Good concept, implementation could use improvements. I found myself just driving slow in order to complete laps rather than trying to blast through it. Perhaps if there were other cars to race against, there would be incentive for speed.
Thank you for your feedback! I definitely wanted to add more objectives to incentivize the player to go faster. I didn't have time to finish it in time for the jam but I plan on adding to the game in the future. I did want the player to feel like they suddenly lost control of the car, and I thought the car's engine going "nitro" would be a cool concept. I'll try to give the player some more interaction with the Nitro system and work on some effects to make it feel better to play.
