Really nice, the fire spreading is well done. It was a wee bit hard at first to work out how to control the trucks but it made sense once I got the hang of it. I think you can polish this up and add more scenarios to have a full game :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, once there are less project going on, maybe we'll return to this and make a better Version.

We also suggest going to https://solocov.itch.io/bushfire-post-jam , which includes several improvements to control. (Also slightly easier)

Why can't I control the original trucks? I tried clicking by instructions, but it seems I could only place later trucks. I almost gave up on it entirely the first time. Other than that, I really enjoyed the concept and somewhat the execution.

Developer(+1)

You can select the original trucks with left-click-drag. This game controls like an RTS, like EmpireEarth.

Also thanks for the Feedback!

realy nicely done. my few minor gripes would be the initial speed of the fire and if there were a second map overall well done and a good take on out of control and not turing it into not able to control

Developer

Yeah the initial fire velocity (wind-speed) is set high to, set more on fire. We did not get the right balance in time, and the fire wall should look overwhelming and out of control in the beginning ^^

Also main point when beginning this jam was not to take away control from the player, also we though most people would just take away control from the player anyway.

Thanks for the feedback!

I saved all 21 houses after around 4 tries! This was really cool and I like it a lot! Really fun and had good replay value! 5/5

Developer(+1)

Well done! To save this many houses, I needed to be lucky with the wind direction ^^

Thanks for the Feedback!

Cool! Once I figured out how to move the trucks around I felt a lot more in control (instructions said right-click drag, but it's actually just click where you want them to go). The game is really lit ;-) Nice job!

Developer

We added a control scheme to the itch.io description, we were kinda out of it, when implementing the ToolTips ^^

Thanks for the feedback!
