Like someone said down in the comments, I felt too much in control, adding that control over the speed (convenient for some players, but I don't think you did the right choice here with that) You created a great atmosphere, and a cool concept, so, keep it going!
Great feel - something I think is super hard to get in 48hrs. And a fun concept!
Thanks, much appreciated.
Nice Atmosphere and feeling of control (or non control). It's really hard to play because our sprite continuously running BUT we can CONTROL it with down arrow and stop his progression So...
Liked the "exploration" feeling of discovering where the batteries are.
Happy surprise when I discovered batteries are not lost after "death" :)

game we made for this game jam: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/696589
It felt too "In control" being able to stop, but of course can be difficult to get something "out of control" but also winnable
I did like the small effects added to make even the basic sprites look interesting

My teams game for the jam: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/696029
Being able to stop was added because the test players found the player moved to fast and slowing it down made the game tedious so it was added for balance purposes.
The circle collisions are very unforgiving, wish I could see more mechanics unfold, this idea has potential!
Thanks , I started the jam late so not enough time went into the game
