Interesting idea, but could use a bit more work on making sure the pathfinding moves in a predictable/reliable way. I love how the camera moves when the player dies though! Gave me a laugh.

Bast rate criteria: Originality.

The idea is just super interesting, but the execution seems a bit annoying for two reasons :

A) It seems to be a game where you must choose wisely between two abilities. Why then use a pathfinder on the character ? It breaks its own rule because the "How far" is handled by the game.

B) Even if we embrace the concept and take the two possibilities into account, I just ended up using the "Where to" and being frustrated by not knowing why it stopped or has got too far.

Otherwise, the idea of adapting quantic-ish simulation into a game is pretty nice, original and fit the theme. Just needs more polish on the core loop ;)

Interesting concept, Im sure you could build nice "puzzle-esque" games with that direction only setting.

Cool game!

Nice game... One thing I noticed is that I ended up using only the direction (but not how far) option... The other one seems a little useless... You could have added some point when you use the other... Good Luck!!

The idea seems nice, but it's a bit hard to understand what's happening. The character seems to move a bit too randomly in both modes, especially in the "how far mode" (left mouse click and drag). Probably a balacing issue, but the game "direction mode" (right click) feels enough, so I almost never used the left click.

Hiya! I wish I could play this game, the mechanic sounds super interesting, but I'm unsure what to do with the file to get it to run? I'm not very tech savvy, sorry about that haha. Does anyone happen to know?

Download and unzip the folder. Inside it, open GMTK_Gamejam_2020.exe

Thanks! Yeah I had to download a thing to unzip but after that I was able to play haha. Arigato
