Thanks a lot! happy it worked for you :D

ah, that could be... ive set it up to run on 1920x1080 since steam said thats the most common monitor resolution.
Should have thought of that and made the important buttons more central ^^

Oh well, knowledge for next time

(1 edit)

Im honestly really confused what went wrong this time.. seem smultiple people have problems running it... are you on windows or linux?

Sorry for wasting your time...Thanks for the positive review though :)

Cool art style and Idea, brutally hard though :) with a 2nd player it was more possible but we still didnt make it very far.

One problem: keyboard controlls werent listed, so it took a few minutes to figure player 2 out, here are the controls:

Player one:
a & d to move
space to jump
e to reflect

Player 2:
left and right arrow to move
0 (numpad) to jump
1 (numpad) to reflect

ah, that sucks man, sorry for that... similar thing happened to me aswell in the past, dont be too sad :) still sucks of course...

Great concept and execution, another take on the typical rpg party gathering :)

Did you maybe not download the .pck File to go with it?

if you downloaded the GameJamJAM2.exe, you need to rename the pck file with a 2 too it seems, sorry didnt get to update that in time...

Thanks fopr your kind review! :D

Couldnt get it running sadly, it told me that libgcc_s_seh-1.dll was missing...

Sorry for that, something simmular happened on my first Jam, dont give up! :D

As the others mentioned, a bit Janky, but that adds to the charm. Great concept!

Only thing I would try to fix is the glitching through walls since that can make puzzles too easy or unsolvable.

Sadly couldnt get past the first level , it just told me that i can grab things but there was nothing to grab, am I missing something?

EDIT: If you download the GameJamJAM2.exe, dont forget to download the GameJamJAM.pck as well, and you ened to rename to GameJamJAM2.pck
Thanks to that its probably easier to download the 1st version since it runs smoothly, you just wont get a few features with that sadly...

Sorry for the inconvinience...

GameJamJAM2.exe is the current version, i just didnt have enough time to delete the 1st one since itch servers were a bit buzy. both are pretty simmular, the current one just has an option to paste to clipboard to share more easily :)

This is a cooperative gave where up to 7 people can join together to make music. I wanted server uploads, but couldnt get it working in time, so you can share your tunes here by posting the savefile (function in the game for that). Details on the game page.

Feel Free to share, it doesnt have to be perfect, just a fun experiment to see what we can come up with together :D
Here´s  one of mine if anyone wants to give it a go:

Didnt have a controller, so unfortunately unable to playtest it :( hope you have a nice day!

Interesting concept, Im sure you could build nice "puzzle-esque" games with that direction only setting.

Cool design and nice choice of weapons and enemies for such a short time frame!

thank you, that means a lot :)
Yeah, I had trouble getting the core gameplay in, i really had to finetune the code to get more than 50 bacteria at one time. I need to learn more optimization i think.

Im still a bit of a noob, is .pck needed on windows too? godot only created one for Linux for me (literally first time exporting a game)

Really cool aesthetically! Amazing what you can do with premade assets in 48h

Thanks for your reply! :)

I uploaded a working one, please only give feedback on the fixed page though, not here if you want do check it out, as I dont wanna cheat the Jam.

Hope you have a nice day!

Cool story driven game! Liked the writing, and the core Idea was neat :)

Got a failure state at 100% though, so I probably misunderstood one of teh objectives

Cool Concept! DIdnt get it to work on my screen correctly for some reason(had to scroll up/dopwn to see the wole level)

The rocket boost felt Great :)

Really cool concept! Reminds me of Miziziziz´s "Theyest Thou" which Im a fan off. Great work for 48h :)

Great music, really Jams! Camera control is really nauseating though ...

Great art and sound, and I like the Idea of just "flopping" to get around. Acceleration seemed a bit bugy sometimes :)

Great atmosphere and music! crashes as soon as I attack from below though sadly... Keep it up, Im sure this will end up great :)

Cool Idea and Creative Design! Took a little while to understand what youre supposed to do though :)

Updated to a broken version minutes before deadline by mistake, sorry for stealing your time

Cool Idea! I feel like the rockets are a bit overtuned, but its fun trying to shoot them around :)

Really interesting to think about which choices you need to make. Its always a compromise after all :)

Toyed around with a simmular Idea too, but you implemented it way better than I could have :)

Uploaded the fixed version seperately now, please dont rate this one though. I dont want to "cheat" at the Jam, I just want some feedback...

Sorry if this breaks any rules, Im just a bit heartbroken

I tried to upload an update in the last 2 minutes and got a bugged version public by mistake. Is there any way to get this fixed or was all work for nothing now? :(
