It is cute. But it is a little slow paced because of the long jump timer. I gave up on the second level because I had to go back to the beginning after getting pretty far.
Yes the level design is pretty unforgiving. I'm thinking of working of a post jam version where most of these issues are fixed.
Good idea for a game. It could have used more obstacles though.
yes definitely. Would have done so if more time were available.
Really cool idea, jumps need to be faster
I share most of the same thoughts as my partner in crime so I won't belabour them here. I just wanted to say that I enjoyed this! I think flashing blue would be a great way to telegraph and that you've got a novel little platformer if you decide to develop it more!
Fun idea and really nice pixelart (main character is great), I would make jumps happen faster though
Yeah there are parts where you end up waiting a little bit too long for the jump to charge... It's actually on a random timer though from 2-5 seconds so maybe a fixed timer would work better if I update?
I wish that there was like a meter to let you know when the jump was going to happen also some air steering maybe? Other than that the concept is super cute and I found the challenge enjoyable.
I wanted to have the player flashing blue faster and faster to signal a jump was coming. But didn't have time to implement it. Like the idea of a cold meter though! I did think about adding air steering but also felt that went against the theme of the jam a bit...
I respect that on the air steering I didn't think about it that way. All in all great work!
