Feels a bit overwhelming at the beginning. The UI could use some more work aswell, otherwise, interesting concept.

thanks for playing

It immediately reminded me of the Merlin Wizard of the Sword in the Rock! He's really nice and funny, but it's really a shame that there's no background music... there are so many programs to get something done in a very short time and it always adds a lot to the experience. Even better would have been a "Higitus Figitus" ahahah Great Job anyway!!

Developer

haha thank you for the feedback and for playing!

I really like the art for this game. The gameplay was simple and straightforward with a clear goal. I thought it was fun. I understand that you had trouble with time constraints, but you finished a game in just 48 hours. That's a difficult thing to pull off so you should be very proud :)

thank you so much for the kind words

It is fun, goofy, out of control game. If it was polished and with sound etc., it would really have replayability value as endless game :D. Nice job. Check my game as well :)

Developer

thanks for playing and the kind words, I'll check yours out now ;)

This was fun - I loved trying to grab the potions in mid air and "dunk" them in the cauldron. Also another favorite strategy was sitting in the cauldron. My top score was 290! Almost had a perfect run.

Nice job! Fun game. What do you think you would have improved next, given more time?

very good score haha. if I was given the chance again I would learn more about arrays and rigidbody physics before starting the project haha. my original Idea was to have the player follow randomly generated recipes and I had most of the code done but not enough time to properly implement it so this was a quick fix and made the game a little less interesting. it also ended up being a fairly similar game to my previous solo jam for ludum dare so yeah, I learnt a lot but I feel like I could've done much better with a bit more know how. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

I go through a similar experience during jams, where I have a big idea, and in the last 4 hours I rework things so it's playable and at least mildly interesting.

Developer(+1)

ye, sucks though cuz I had most of the code there I was just really struggling to get it implemented properly with player feedback and ui etc. this is my second ever solo jam so time management is still something I'm bad at but I think I'm getting better

I know what you mean.
Well if you decide to pick it back up and finish it, let me know!

For the time you're game is good! I liked the approach!

Developer

thanks for the kind words and thank you for playing!

Good job considering this is a solo project!! The art is decent for how quickly you got it done - better than I could do, I expect :)

I’d suggest some UI for the levitation - there seems to be some sort of area of effect around the player where it works, but there’s no visualisation for it.

Developer

yes well pointed out, I did intend to give a lot more feedback but no time, again though a very valid critisism - my time managment was poor and I had many issue which a good friend of mine had to keep advising me on. thanks for playing and for the feedback, much appreciated!

Well done for getting it to a playable state. The player character's great, despite how rushed you say the art was!

Developer

thanks but ye art really took a back seat this time around. however I did conceptualise the character at the start of the jam pretty much so as to get a feel but all pixel art was done in about 2hrs total, hence why the background looks dreadful hahaha and no particle effects :(
