Fun game you've created. Lacks some polish but that's very normal in a time period as short as 48h (we struggled with this too :'D). I see the potential though!
The game in general is reeeeally slow: movement, enemies and spellcasting. And even if I can't control the spells I've ended up just waiting to cycle to the one I wanted which makes it a bit frustrating.

Yeah.. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time for polishing, we also agree that everything should be faster. And so spells rotation. This should create situation, where you think how to use effects of current spell or try to catch needed spell, while also evading enemy attacks.
About the polish it is okay, game jams are too frantic to worry too much with that hahahaha. But I'd suggest, if you intend to continue working on the game, to make more enemies, or even enemy weakness with certain spells.
The game looks great! It isn't explained all that well though...once i figured it out it was pretty fun! Well done :D

I couldn't figure out how to use the spells (nowhere do you specify controls) and as such, I never could actually deduce what was "out of control" about the spells. In future, consider including some instructions either within your game detailing controls or here on the submissions page.
Cute game and fitting audio otherwise, could use some more levels or some more platforming.

You can press "X" to cast spell which has white icon.
The skulls soldier is most cutest that I have ever seen.

Icons of spells move above the character. When you pressed "X" , it is casting skill which blinked white.
