How does your game fit the theme?
You have a dose that increases as you explore the outdoors. It is out of your control because you don't know which is the safest route to the store and back and therefore you cannot control how your dose increases you can only try to avoid it going up faster

A really nice idea with good visuals. I liked the overall mood and experience of the game. Well done!
While the setting has been worked on, the gloomy and depressing ambiance seems really at odd with the core mechanic that is to rush to the store before to get milk for your baby. I know you used pre-existing audio, but you needed to find a music that put you on the clock I feel. For the rest, good job overall though for creating your first game !
P.S: if you can rate my game, that would be appreciated :)
I found it a little confusing at times. But over all an ok expirience. I should have probably given it more time and effort but I was kinda short on it.
This is a huge map! I appreciate the topical story-writing and details; however, the long distances made the story hard to progress.
Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah I agree. Initially we planned on adding loads more to the game but hadn't considered how quickly 48hrs would be so dropped loads. We also didn't do a test play before submitting. Having done so we'd definitely have reduced 50% of the map!
Appreciate you taking the time to write this and the kind words too.
I really like the art and audio that you have used in the game. The idea used is also good, trying to show a post nuclear world where one has to travel for resources with specialised equipment. The walking part could have been reduced a little or maybe a minimap could have been added so that player can actually have a broader view of this map. Another thing to add is that that i found it difficult the first time to actually find the safest path to the store ,i.e the path determination on basis of change in radioactive levels was a bit tricky to understand, so maybe you could improve that part a bit.
Keep it Up Mate !
Thanks for the feedback!
A minimap to show where the store is would definitely make it better. Thanks for the idea. I'll look into adding this.
The tricky part about the safest route to traverse is that on paper it works but when implemented without knowing where the hotspots are it is tricky. Ill look into adding some new environment elements that'll give you an idea of where is likely high giving you a choice to either take the longer route or risk going through the potentially higher area.
Good points and I appreciate you taking the time to tell me.
I like the story telling. makes me feel for their situation. But may be walking could have been reduced a little, just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to write this.
Yeah I agree the map is too big for what it is but originally we had a dog in mind that would follow you that you had to protect along the way, (as it would chase after birds), to the store and back as well as seagulls that would dive bomb you that you had to avoid but that'll be implemented after the gameJam is over.
Oh yeah that makes sense. Well best of luck mate.
