Neat game idea and nice variety between the characters so changing changes your play style
I liked the different uncontrollable abilities! The art looked really cool, is the bloom effect from post processing? You guys did a great job! Congrats on submitting a cool top down game to the jam! Please check out mine if you haven't :D
Thank you for the comment. I left a comment on your game too 😁
Great concept of having uncontrollable abilities! Though I must say that there were a couple of bugs!
1) The score doesn't reset after losing.
2) Sometimes the player would die without even knowing what was the cause.
3) The player's ability would stay the same after losing (which I don't know if its a bug or a feature).
With these bugs out of the way and with a bit more polish, the game would be splendid! Another thing I must say is that it would've been nice if the player had more health rather than 1. Other than that, great job!
Thanks for the feedback
You're welcome :D
Wow, the particles and effects in this game are so cool, I loved how unique every character's abilities are. The game looks really interesting and aesthetically pleasing.
A few suggestions: most times I didn't really get what killed me. It would've been nice to have more visual feedback from hits and more time before showing the "death screen." (It's funny for me to comment on that considering that my game has the same mistake). Also, I wasn't sure what some of the characters do. Maybe some tutorials might help? And finally, I think one life doesn't feel right. I want to play more, but the game forces me to stop. Give the player more chances (actually one more, it's the same as with my game: use keyboard to restart the game, not the mouse!)
But overall, I was engaged with the game, I really had a lot of fun with it
Oh yeah, Having a health bar makes sense. Also the original plan was to have a lot of levels, but due to time constraint we went with a single endless level.
Thanks for the feedback😁.
Cool take on the theme! I vibe the unique art style and would love to see where this idea goes next! Good submission!! :))
Thanks for the feedback
Really well done. It's fun, the effects are varied and interesting. I had a bit of trouble with death feedback at the beginning (I wasn't sure what was killing me, and whether my own green shots could kill me or not). I'd have loved a way to rotate my character without moving, since several of the skills rely on direction (shields and beam especially).
Great job anyhow!
We are definitely planning on fixing the stuff and polish the game. Thanks for the feedback.
I think y'all have a really solid foundation for a game here! I like the mechanic of having to think on the fly when my character switches, and how that introduces a whole bunch of tactical considerations.
There are few things I would urge you to do when you go about polishing this bad boy:
Considering the time constraint, y'all did a great job! Well done!
Hey, thanks for taking your time to play our game. We are definitely going to improve a lot when we decide on making the game 😊.
Great game. I really liked the visuals and it runs great in browser. Mouse aim would have been nice but I think it worked well
Thanks for the feedback. Gotta improve the controls.
This twist on the bullet-hell genre works real well, not to mention the creative ways you have to position yourself to aim! I'd say tighten up the controls a bit if you're thinking about developing the game further, since that was my only gripe. Otherwise, I really enjoyed playing! Oops, looks like I posted twice for a second there! Sorry about that.
Thanks for the feedback mate. BTW I really liked your game. Hope u win this jam :)
I would have like to have aim with mouse instead. Everything else is fun.
Initially it was mouse controlled, but that didn't feel right either. Still gotta think of a better input style. Thanks for the feedback.
The premise and execution are cool, it took me a few seconds to figure out the controls and learn the enemy attacks. Some more signposting in terms of enemy attacks would make it better. The controls could also slightly be better.
Ya man definitely. Even we found the controls a little difficult. Will have to find a better solution for that. :)
I enjoyed the premise but I wish there was a little more room to move around! I felt a little cramped while I adjusted to each different unit type. I would have liked a little more visual indication when the enemies were charging their shot as well - the sound helped but I couldn't always tell where the next shot was coming from! Still fun to play though :)
Thank you for the feedback
I really liked the music. But the collisions always felt a bit off. i often didnt really know why i was game over.
Yeah man that's for sure. We had lot of mechanics planned out for the game, and because of the hard time limit we couldn't polish out the experience.
