My more important feedback is announcing what will be out of control in a better way. The icons barely grey out and I barely look at them anyway. Perhaps a progress wheel showing the time left till the next swap and what will be unavailable in an icon will make a tremendous improvement to this game.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we agree about bad disability indication. We are preparing postjam version with a lot of improvements, it will be available soon.

Really fun little survival shooter.   Excellent movement controls, animations and targeting.  Need a little bit more feedback on the disabling, I often didn't find out something was disabled until it was causing me damage.    It would be good to have some form of feedback to let the player know something has changed (either a flash on the character itself or some sort of trigger to draw attention up to the UI).   Awesome work thank you

Developer

Fun graphics, and nice implementation of the UI! I like how you turn off some of its functionality and not all of it :D

It was pretty fun to play! Good job

Looks good and plays well. I only wish there was a more obvious indicator that your controls were going to change and that it was easier to see which parts were shut down. Great work!

Developer

thank you very much. Yes we agree that indication is very poor. We already implemented it and will upload after gamejam

I had a lot of fun playing, good use of the theme. I really wish there was a way to see what control I was losing next so I didnt wind up stuck in a corner

Developer

thank you very mush, I'm happy that you enjoyed. We don't have indicators to see what's next we think it's giving hardcoreness to the game. We only having indication of current disability, but we agree that it is not enough visible. We already fixed it and will upload after gamejam

i liked the game, idea is awesome, game is catchy
reminds me good old alien shooter
the only thing in the game i would recommend is that with some small percentage of possibility disable 2 controlls

other than that the ux can be improved, but i think for game jam with the deadline of 48 hours this is great work

keep doing what you do guys,
wish you success

btw my score is 335 :D

Developer

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. We are working now on hardcore difficulty.

Pretty fun! I like how there's a natural difficulty increase when you lose control of an action.

Developer

Thanks. Glad you like our game.

This game is exactly what I would call "out of control", at first you don't notice it but after a few seconds you feel like something isn't right and then you realize you suddenly can't turn left!
or maybe your rifle stopped working, It really caught me off guard and made me both scared yet also made me laugh realizing how dire my situation was: being surrounded and by 20 enemies coming from above and being unable to go down.
There are however, some things I think could be improved, first I feel you should have gone more crazy with the mechanic of your things being turned off because after a while it became kind of easy once you got used to it, I think you should have it ramp up, for example at the start keep it the same as it is now but I think once you get ahead you should have more things turned off more frequently, imagine trying to run away from enemies when BOTH of your weapons are down and having to stall as much as possible in order to live.

Another thing I would improve is the UI, when your things get turned off you don't immediately notice it and I think you should have it draw more attention, for example instead of being grayed out make the option go red, that way it will stand out more.
In the end I think this game is very fun and it was delightful to play and I also think this idea holds merit, hope to see you again next jam!

Developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We will discuss your suggestions and improve our skills for the next jam.

I also hope to see you in the next jam!

Neat game. Sometimes feels a bit unfair when the controls stop working - it would probably be more fun if there was an indication on screen of what stopped working.
Otherwise, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback. We noticed that indicators are not comfortable for users. We will try our best to provide more user friendly UX next time

God this was a treat. The combat and movement were pretty good and I like the option between the rifle and the rocket launcher. There are many enemies but they arent too overwhelming. Good balance

The UI didnt exactly work on my screen (specifically on the score and controls in the main menu), and when I tried muting the music, both music and sound were already shown unticked during the game even though I didnt touch it yet. I went back to the main menu and they were ticked just fine

That being said, I liked this game. It took my dumb brain long enough to realize that the top right were indications of what systems were working. The timer is a good touch which allows me to act accordingly. Other than some issues, the ui with the enemy health bars and indicators were really good and quality of life for me

Hope you attend next year

Developer

We noticed the audio bug after submission and that is big mistake. Also more comfortable UX will be provided next time.

Thanks for your feedback)

Very nice looking game models with a lot of enemy variety- it's a pretty standard twin stick shooter in one location, pretty fun. My high score was 291. It would be nice if there was a sound / visual indicator on your character when a control was being constrained- maybe something like sparks coming from the character and a noise when part of you breaks? Overall, good job!

I can't get it to start, I thought maybe my oculus took over but I disconnected it and it's still not working. It's not a development build so I couldn't open console to see if there's anything i can do it to fix it either.

Developer

I also have Oculus, and I had the same problem. But after removing the Oculus cables from the computer, everything works fine.

Submitted

Yea i made sure it was really disconnected this time and it worked! It's really weird, my game was UE too and headset didn't cause any issues. anyway it was a really cool game! combat feels really good as well

Developer

The VR issue will be improved in the next version. We appreciate your feedback.

Submitted (1 edit)

I'm unsure if it's a problem on my end or of the game itself, but despite installing it just would not run correctly.  I'll reserve the rating for a bit to see if the reason can be determined/resolved.

Developer

There is no need to install anything. Just unzip the file and play.

If you have VR headset please remove cables from your computer and try again.

Thanks.
