I liked the idea! as most people said, some kind of introduction, as sounds as well would fit really nice, I know the time is a harsh thing so im not being too picky, with more polish it would turn out very great!
thanks :) !
The horror did come through, as I felt chased the whole time. But that made it really hard to get to grips with the game. As soon as things start you are running for your life inside an unfamiliar map. TO get the instructions for the machine I was lucky, as the enemies got stuck on the stairs so I had time to actually read the signs.
What I'm trying to say is that the player needs time to get the instructions, so the console room really needs to be a safe space to hide in. Adding a closing door would help a lot at making the player feel safe, so we know they won't get us there and we can take a break.
sorry about that, i didn't make the game play mechanics clear enough, if you see a monster coming out of the tv then you have to find the controller randomly placed in it's tv''s room and left click it to turn the tv off. if you do so the monster from that tv will get destroyed and will have to come back out of the tv again, if it hasn't come out yet then it will still get reset.
It's pretty hard to see and could be a bit more polished but the idea is neat! Some Audio feedback on actions would help.
thanks for the feedback, i had planed on adding sounds, i had even recorded the majority that i wanted to add but i didn't know how to upload my game for the game jam as it is the first time i have ever released anything, so luckily i gave myself extra time to do so as there was only 9 seconds left until it closed by the time i had figured it out. i plan on fixing a few bugs and adding a few sound fx once the game jam is over.
That's great to hear! : ) It was our first jam as well, definitely a bit stressful to get the project uploaded at the end, we had 53 second left. Congratulations for your first release!
thanks again, and well done on completing your first jam as well!
Very nice!
thx :)
