Once I feel I am safe to start reeling in, I then see "You didn't catch the handcart" and I am like, darn, died again :(
I get what you mean, I'm quite aggressive with the reeling, but I've failed a lot from misjudging when I can stop ducking. Or landing in fire, a lot. I'm not very good at this game myself, making it was fun though.
I hope it was still enjoyable though, and thank you for playing!
Nice and short game, the visuals are nice. The music loop is a bit short and gets a bit repetitive, especially if you die a lot like me :). I like that the difficulty increases over time. Nice job!
Ta, I do get the music being repetitive. Left it right to the end and probably should've spent more time on it. It's always the fire that kills me, ducking is easy, but don't know about you, I cannot time jumps to save my life.
I'm glad you enjoyed it though, even if the music is maddening.
Thank you for the feedback!
Cool idea, love the pixel art and I like that you randomized the level! I think you could up the speed + gravity a bit and it would feel a bit more fluid.
Thank you, yeah I agree it's quite floaty. I think it also looks slower since speed increases linearly and kind of hard to notice a change, perhaps I'll use a speed curve in future. More to fix next time round.
Regardless, thank you for the feedback!
