Great idea, nice graphics. I like it :D
The idea of playing two characters in an endless runner is cool and something I've never seen done. I think that the camera and lead need some work but overall good job.
Probably the first endless runner I've played with two simultaneous player characters! So props on the idea, and the execution was pretty good. The dog's lead between the characters seemed more like a stick though, since it couldn't stretch or withdraw. This meant that if one character was high in the air, and I'd jump with the other, the first jumper would drop down as a result - this felt odd to me. The best I could do on several tries was 47 seconds with 15 points.
Cheers for the feedback. Yes the lead never felt right but at the time I couldn't figure which joint to use to get the right result, but reading your message made me think of the problem again and realise my mistake. I was trying to trying to create it with a single joint where I should have had many smaller joints linked like a chain which would have behaved much more like a rope. There still would have been some physics quirks between the two characters but at least there wouldn't be the really weird stuff like the man pole vaulting over the dog.
I think the camera goes a bit too high when the dog jumps, as it makes it pretty difficult to understand what's going on on the officer's level. Other than that, I really like the artwork! :D
Your game was really cool! It is really fun to play both characters at the same time -- or better -- play with someone else and make them control another character. My only problem with the game is the art which isn't very good, but the game as a whole is a lotta fun! Congratulations on the submission! =D
I think the mechanic here is great - I had a lot of fun trying to wrangle the characters around the platforming segments, and this could be truly awesome with some tighter controls. The difficulty was pitched at a good level, as it kept me wanting to have another go at it. The art was also really good.
Best of luck.
Cute game, took me a minute to get the hang of jumping with the dog and the handler. Could have kept the camera a little lower during jump so keep an eye on the landing. Pixel work was very nice, especially on the dog. Overall great work!
Dog artwork is quite nice.
Nice concept!
I would like more control over the characters :)
Good job !
This movement is somewhat unpredictable sometimes. Also the camera movement need some work. Maybe also add more fail time at the beginning?
Thank's for the feedback. Yes the connection between the two characters affects the physics, when the dog jumps it pulls the officer forward, when the officer jumps it slows the dog. It can result in some odd behavior when the two get out of sync.
Cannot see what I'm jumping on when the camera moves
Yes it was something I ran out of time to fix sorry. I didn't notice it in development due to working in a different aspect ratio.
