How does your game fit the theme?
You are put in control of various characters, and later in the game, these two characters join together and form one entity with enhanced abilities. Along with that, the giant core that led the world to ruins needed to join with the mini core to become stable, which you briefly see at the end of the game.

Would be really cool to see what happens next! Really good cutscenes!

Developer

I would've made the whole story more in depth, and definitely more cutscenes, but I had to really cut the story to the bare minimum to get the gist out, due to time. But I'm glad you enjoyed what was there!

the presentation was really great. The cutscenes are the best part!

I'm glad to hear that! I knew I couldn't get what I wanted from the gameplay due to time constraints, and since the cutscenes weren't too difficult to make after I set it up, I tried to flush them out the best I could!

I like the cutscenes!

Loved the level of detail you got with such small sprites!

Developer

Thank you! That was a bit of an emphasis with me, and I tried to squeeze as much detail as I could with the few colors I had available. I think I did a pretty good job! And if I had the time, I would've added more animations to the characters, instead of static sprites, but hey! I think their movements showed the emotion they needed pretty well.

Nice to see a pico 8 game. Cutscenes, sound effects and even a bit of narrative are rare commodities here. Nice job!

solid game since you said you've been learning pico8 for a few days! I also love the look of pico8 games.

Was really impressed with what you were able to do with art and the small cinematic moments! I can see how this would be super fun once more mechanics were added but had a fun time playing what's there.

Though there isn't too much offered, please enjoy the short experience I made! And if you like the direction it's going, feel free to stick around in case I put more work into it!
