How does your game fit the theme?
I interpreted the words "Joined Together" in the slime's relationship, because the game is about a slime who overcomes obstacles to be with their lover (hence, them being Joined Together).

Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?

Incredible idea, the mix of platformer elements with puzzle thigs got interesting, congrats.

Every level has something unique and the concept of growing/shrinking was amazing :D

Hi, I loosely interpreted this year's theme as two slime lovers trying to meet each other (being joined together). I agree that the game's mechanics might feel like it doesn't really connect with the theme. However, I'm happy enough that I managed to make something during my first 48-hours jam. Cheers :D

This was a super fun game that I enjoyed playing to the end! Loved the level gimmicks, they were really fun and made the trial-and-error gameplay more interesting. I also liked that the game icons were clear and easily readable so I could know at a glance what was what (and have something to look forward to, like the jetpack!!). Great game!

By the way, we played your game on our stream!

Glad you liked the game :D . I just watched the video and seems like you encountered a bug on the last level, truly sorry for that. I didn't manage to disable collision detection from under the ground tiles, so the game treats as if the player is jumping (thus adding more force upwards). Didn't thought that players can trigger this bug by using the jetpack (。ŏ_ŏ)

To be honest, we loved that bug, hahaha!! We didn't realize that wasn't supposed to happen, it just felt really naturally fun and spontaneous.

Definitely some creative mechanics here, I enjoyed thinking about how big/small my slime really needed to be.

love the slimes! good times rolling

what is joined together? the papa slime and mama slime?

Developer

I originally designed the slime to be lovers, so papa and mama slime can work. Other than that original design thought, there's nothing set in stone, so it's pretty much open to interpretations :D

This totally has to be one of the best designed games I've seen from this jam yet! The art is simple but it really helps with the cute tone, great job!
