I couldn't really experience the game properly without a human opponent (pandemic, you know), but I am not sure it would be fun even in multiplayer? My fear is that it would just boil down to a contest who can button-mash faster. While I can see some strategic element to this, with players engaging in mind games to make the other do what they want, I don't think it will work with real-time inputs. Maybe with some obstacles in on the field and players having to make their inputs in turns?
I know it the pandemic sucks but thanks for trying it anyway. To your point about button-mashing. I tried to combat button mashing by making it so that you moved faster towards the other player so that the chaser had to predict the oponents moves as he moves slower than the player but if he is moving towards the player the player will move towards him with a speed faster than the lenght of the character making it so that you can pass by the oponent easily if he just button mashes towards you and can't push you out of the zone. Sorry for my bad punctuation I am still 13 and don't know how to write well.
The audio explaining the game could have used subtitles for the hard of hearing. But this seems like it could be very fun for two people. Good job!
WASD and Arrow keys made both of the characters move simultaneously. Also there was a bug when reseting where the voice over would repeat 2 times before actually reseting.
I, unfortunately, couldn't play the game. The game started, I have listened to the instructions, then it became unplayable of some sort. It continuously said a player was winning but I did nothing, it might be because of some pre-determined values about the screen you use in the code, but I'm not sure.
What is your screen resolution? Also there is a bug where while restarting you can still move .
My screen resolution is 1920x1080, and I might have moved while it was restarting, that seems possible.
