The gameplay seems a bit lacking, but I do like the moment when a lot of blue lines suddenly appear, feels pretty cool. The tempo change is an interesting touch.
Thanks for the feedback ! The gameplay is not perfect indeed, due to the complexity of the linking system, quite a lot of problematic bugs occur and spoils it. As you probably know the game jam format isn't appropriate for debugging...
I don't get it. I spent quite some time looking for it, but what's the goal ? I figured the red circles were the enemies. But when I emptied my chargers on them the game restarted... So I think I lost ? After losing a few times I hid in a corner to figure things out. And nobody followed me. Nothing happened. The music just became faster. It's frustrating because the game looks like it would be a lot of fun if I got it.
Basicaly the goal is to survive the increasing bpm.
As said in the menu, links share life, so if you shoot an enemy linked to you, you'll lose HP. I understand that this aspect of the game was not well represented. To be honest even I lost during playtesting without knowing if it was from a bullet or from the link. Adding a health bar and showing when a link is taking health from you would be an ideal solution.
Also, the movement algorithm is too simple because I feared that my game would be too difficult (an error I made at my 3d jam), still I also think that the enemies would be more interesting if they would try to find the perfect angle to shoot you.
Anyway, I appreciate a lot your feedback ! 👍
Ok thanks, so the enemies are unkillable. In any case, the core gameplay is fun. Good work
