nice art! the floor feels kinda "slippery" not sure if thats your feature but good job!

Developer

Thanks! Its intended but i get how it could be confusing.

Fun game!

I really love the character art and the character controller. As well as the dialogue.

It's also really nice to see something developed with rust, how has your experience been with it?

Developer

its been mostly positive aside from the relative lack of documentation for some tools.

Really cool game and very nice artwork. I also love the waddling animation the creature does when it comes out of a tunnel. Great submission!

Developer(+1)

thanks bro, i was trying something new with the artwork since i usually make pixel art.

Really fun game! I thought the animations were really neat and it was surprisingly satisfying watching all the humans scatter as you kill them. At some points the background texture blended with the foreground a little too much which made it difficult to tell where the floor was, and the animation for walking out of a tunnel usually played before the screen transition, but apart from that I didn’t notice any bugs! I’d recommend adding a separate interact button, since sometimes I would try to jump but talk to an NPC instead, but overall very impressive for 48 hours!

Thanks! The background will definitely be considered when making future games! I probably would have more than 3 levels if i hadn't switched tile editors before starting the jam lol(lots of headaches loading them and detecting collision in bevy lmao).

Congrats on your submission and great game! I really liked the thrill of having to run after humans before they escape. The third level was definitely the most fun for me with all the humans climbing.

Tight controls, nice parallax effect and great music. Some complaints I would have are: it's annoying that the interact button is jump because then when you want to jump next to a door or a handle it does the wrong thing and might screw you over. The background is dark and the outline for characters are also dark, I would recommend a higher contrast to make visibility easier.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I usually make pixel art games and wanted to try out a new art style, I will definitely keep the outlines criticism in mind.  I'm glad you liked the 3rd level, unfortunately I was pressed on time and could only make 3 levels :(. I noticed the annoyance of interactions being the same as jump too but I'm really lazy lol.
