How does your game fit the theme?
In this game, the roles of typical idle clicker games are reversed. Instead of clicking on something with the cursor, the player tries to not get clicked by the computer controlled cursor.

Concept really fits well with the jam and the game has a good difficulty, would have been nice to have more actions to do as the chest, otherwise Great Job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! :D
We can understand you at that point, the plan was actually to have a bit more variety of weapons and skills, unfortunately there was no time left for that (:

This is one of the most creative takes on the theme I've seen so far. I love the small bits of polish you added to keep everything consistent like having the mouse actually have to click where to spawn the enemies instead of just the buttons just spawning them randomly. The mouse movement also felt very fair, which I think is a great achievement. Good game!

Developer

This means a lot to us, thank you :D

I feel like your game is the sequel of ours after the chest got a bad review and decided to rebel.  I unsurprisingly like the idea. If i could give a bit of feedback, it took me a run and a half to understand that i could move, and i should avoid the mouse, since it started right on top of me and just kept clicking all the time, i didn't know there was some other possible state.

Played your game, really fun idea of the chest getting a bad review and deciding to rebel afterwards.
Also thanks for your feedback, a lot of players had that issue, glad you understood the controls after some time.
Hope you had fun :D

The game was very fun! And the idea was a good one too! I also liked the art but the game was hard thought. When you started getting some more bullets and it became more easy and fun to play I even got to 1700 points:  Good work!

Developer

Thanks a lot, glad you had fun!
1700 points is really good, congrats :D

That's really creative! The visuals and audio are quite consistent, and I had fun getting chased. The game felt fairly difficult in the start, but I think I just wasn't getting many upgrades in my first runs and definitely didn't get any increased fire rate upgrade for some reason. In the first run that I did finally get that, it was rather OP - I gathered more and more of them and a single burst would kill most enemies, and even when I did lose any coins I'd get a refill as well. This allowed me to go up to around 2500 points, which was when the cursor just randomly decided it had had enough and started to follow me aggressively nonstop, effectively clicking me to death. (don't know if it was actually intended, but in case it's a bug I can send the video of that run if it's any help).
Overall, great game!

Glad you had fun playing it.
2500 points are really good, congrats! :D

Yes unfortunately this is a bug. I've now written down all known bugs so far on the game page.
There is one bug that I could think of:
The cursor normally attacks once per second, but the moment the player changes directions, the cursor resets its cooldown and clicks immediately, this also happens when the player runs along the walls.

It is possible to run away from the cursor normally, but its also possible and recommended to dash using the Spacebar. Unfortunately, there is no tutorial for the controls, but they are now written in the game page too.

Feel free to send the video, it would be much appreciated! :D

Oh sorry, I almost forgot!
Here's how that run went:

I actually completely forgot about the dash, but good to know! That'd probably have helped

I was super excited

Glad to hear that! :D

Had a hard time understanding that you have to use the keyboard to flee, a section on the page explaining the controls usually helps!

Developer(+1)

The controls are now written in the Description of the page.
