quite a good concept, i got a score of 337!

I was a bit confused at the start with how the game is played but overall it was pretty good, i would quite like it so there would be diffrent "jumpscare" sounds so it would have variety and not play the same sound over and over again but overall really nice idea and game.

I would be happy if you checked out my game.

Cheers!

Fun take on the theme! I did find myself only clicking the scream buttons, maybe because of the sound fx feedback, compared to the other buttons. If you do decide to extend it, it'd be good to add a few more options for scaring!

Love the idea, could use some more explanation of how to do well and add some more gameplay, but otherwise nice!

good idea! hehe

It looks like we had similar core concepts for our games but went in totally different directions! I enjoyed this one a lot, I mashed the scare buttons as fast as possible for a while and laughed at the idea of the player getting genuinely freaked out like 50 times per minute 😛 I got a score of 328, no idea if that's good or bad, haha!

Developer

that's so cool that we got the same idea in different directions! I will say 328 is not a bad score!

With all the horror games out there I think this is a great concept for one! I really enjoyed the idea behind it and I got a few good giggles out of scaring the "player"!

thanks for playing! maybe for a full game I put some secret jump scares for the actual player? *evil cackle*

This game is creative, I like the idea of choosing when to jumpscare the player. However, I have no idea why I won. This game would benefit from a tutorial. All the art is blurry, likely due to the filter being bilinear. I like the simplistic art style. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! and yes, I ran out of time to make a tutorial and turn off the bilinear filter, but I'm glad you enjoyed what you did get to play!
If it helps the goal is to keep the player playing until the time runs out (hence the multiple time limits) and you also get points if the player had more fun while playing the game.
