good work! it is true that it is difficult to understand how the projectiles will behave with each of the upgrades you buy, but it is true that interesting things can be done. congratulations!
This was amazing, finally I got to be the boss instead of the shrine maiden!
The spell construction was awesome fun too :).
Awesome pixel art! Your choice of music is well matched to the game. Mechanics are fun with the sound effects you have added for feedback. Also your UI design is clean and informative to me. Well done!
Feel free to hop into my game as well and share your thoughts and ratings if you have the time!
The art, music, and gameplay is amazing! This is probably the most fun I've had with a game jam game! I play a ton of Touhou games, so I adore how similar it is to those games and bullet hells. The powerups are fun to mess around with to try to get more points, and I honestly wished there would be a lot more! You made it by yourself too? That's crazy! Despite the idea deriving from existing tropes and a genre, I hope it see more of it, because the presentation is on point!
Wow, just have to say the art is amazing! I've seen a few games use this idea and I think this is the best execution of the concept. Really amazing job!
I love the art and idea. Somehow I managed to make my projectiles be unable to hit the target anymore (they just wouldn't reach the bottom line anymore), so I basically got "stuck".
Fantastic idea and execution! Love all the power-ups you can use! Art is perfect! This can easely become a full game, I'll play it!!!
Well Made!! Loved it!!
Nice one.
Took me a while but I got it.
BTW, there's a bug that causes the game to crash if you maximize the game.
Maybe just when the dialogue is running.
I crashed the game about 6 times before I realized I had to press space to progress the dialogue.
Thanks for the bug report! I’m already working on a fix for the crash.
You can see the controls by selecting the Instructions menu option.
Ah yeah I found it eventually. After reopening the game 6 times... and checking the game page to see if there were any instructions.
Then, and only then, did I think to click on the 'Instructions' button. 🙃
This has been incredibly engaging and I've enjoyed being a Touhou Game.
I wish this one was actually longer and I think that's the best impression you can leave in a Gamejam.
First off it well written and has an excellent aesthetic, secondly it's a simple but fun combo of ideas that make for a really engaging core loop. Very well done!
Loved the art, and the dialogue was cute! I ran into what I assume is the same bug other people were running into on my first run: my bullets would arc away from the "hero", so I ended up avoided the curve effects and I didn't run into the bug again and was able to win. I feel like I wasn't able to really play with the combos as much since I was trying to avoid that bug, but other than that this is really solid
The interactions that Curve has with the other spell components are broken at the moment, yes. I plan on fixing it and adding more interactions that I had to cut due to time constraints. The other spell components I was able to finish unfortunately don’t have much synergy with Curve. So right now the only thing you can effectively combine it with is Radial Split.
Allright I get it! hahaha!
Firsty bullet hell game I've seen! Love the aesthetic and presentation is done well with good juice.
Only thing I was confused about was when what was happening regarding powerups etc and whose health was on the bottom left until the very end.
Well done! Very nice and polished :)
