Cool game, it took me a bit to learn but I kind of didn't read the text haha (Thought I could wing it)
I like how the build system showed you a bright grid that clearly shows you're building. If you add more color to other parts of the game (UI, Monsters, Purchasable/Not-Purchasable etc.) it would be clearer and more appealing.
But overall I had fun :)
P.S. I also didn't have time to make a tutorial so I also had to make a text tutorial haha
The wall of text is definately a bit overwhelming, but I wanted to explain everything clearly, but didn't have time for a proper tutorial (just like you :D), and I couldn't think of a better way to do it.
This is fun! I wish it was a little brighter/had more contrast, but that is me being nitpicky. The AI of the player was well done and felt like it approached the game how I would have if I was the player.
Fun game!
I just feel some things could be improved on it. When you start the game and theres all the text explaining everything it feels overwhelming and would be nice if it was more like a tutorial. The characters also kept going underneath the ui and it took me a bit to realize I could move the mouse to move around the screen
Thanks for the feedback! The initial idea was a bit more fledged out tutorial, but was cut due to time limits. I could have shortened the text though, that's true.
Great idea and I love the art! Had some problems with the panning/zooming that made it hard to follow the action but I think this would be a really fun game to expand on.
