The game is easy to understand, it is very simple but has a clear and concise idea. I like the graphics and sound effects. Although it doesn't look so related to the theme of the gamejam. It is a good game to start participating in game jams. Keep learning, very good.
This is related to the theme, because according to the brick breaker game the role of the paddle is changed, instead of the paddle we control the car, that means the role of the original brick breaker game is changed, I think now you understand what I mean. In the real brick breaker game we only control the paddle but in this game version we control the car instead of the paddle so the role of the paddle changes according to the brick breaker game. do you agree?

Actually it was way more enjoyable than the classic brainless and skill less hit the ball and see what it does. In your game, the player is more active because he has to follow the ball and successfully orientate the car to hit the tiles which is a layer of interactivity that classic brick breakers don't have
Thanks a lot, and any suggestions, ideas? I plan to make a 3d version of this game, then I think it will be more enjoyable to play, more fun. Some say it's like a Rocket League game. I didn't know my game was like a rocket league game until they said. Actually I thought what happens when the paddle is replaced by a car, I made it with a car first, I didn't attach the paddle to the car, but it looks weird, so I decided to attach the paddle to the front of the car. And I have 3 plans for gmtk game jam, namely flappy paddle brick breaker, and the third one, to put some zombies or birds in place of bricks, but finally I chose the car plan, because it is easy to implement.
- It could be that you also loose if the ball hits the car and not the pad.
- You could make it so that blocks appear from all 4 directions if you implement the previous suggestion.
great idea but according to brick breaker game the paddle is mandatory that's why i added it but in 3d version i will paddle the whole car thanks for helping me
Interesting concept! Some physics to the strength of the car would be a great future improvement, but I had tons of fun with this nonetheless! Great work.

lol i thought the "dont move the car while hitting the ball meant I shouldn't move the car at all"
I love the idea here! It's so silly, and the car controls pretty well too. I really wish I could drive into the ball though to really smack it around, I feel like that would elevate this a lot.

Nice Game Controls Could Be Better!
The game is very nice, I enjoyed destroying the bricks. I suggest you a few things to change in a next update: improve the controls and a bit the graphics but overall a great game. Well done.

The idea of rocket league brick breaker is actually a really fun cool idea! Even though it's relatively simple in its current form, its actually quite fun.
There's a lot you could do with it too, like adding the sound of the bricks breaking, adding powerups and different block types, but the core gameplay is super fun! I love the chaos of racing back to stop the ball hitting the wall after getting too ambitious.
I think if the car was a little slower to break and a tiny bit more "floaty" on the steering, it'd add a good amount of pressure to the gameplay - requiring more focus.
Overall, solid concept, quite fun!

Funny and a bit hard to beat! This "Game Over" line felt a bit taunty (I felt taunted at least ^^)
