How does your game fit the theme?
In most games about war, conflict, or politics, you usually play the role of the warmonger, or someone on the ground fighting against the enemy. However, you rarely play the reversal of that: the neutral party. You don't play Paradox games to play a historical game of Switzerland or to pretend to be the League of Nations or the UN. You don't play historical first-person shooters to negotiate peace. In this game, you are that neutral party, trying to prevent other nations from delving into war.

Very neat concept, although the bottom portion of the screen doesn't really serve much purpose, and the dragging of the newspapers is super finnicky. This could definitely be expanded more, I'd love to see event chains and honestly just more events in general.
Definitely, I had some chained events created, like rebellions in areas you rejected independence, but didn't have enough time to figure out how to implement them. Thanks for playing!

Great game! Interesting approach to the theme and great art too! I liked the narrative of the nations. Despite some bugs (dragging papers), it was a great experience.!
Great work! The choices were interesting and the theme was unique. There were some conflicts with dragging papers when they overlapped each other, and I think putting the flag icons in the map legend would help the player better understand which country was which. Otherwise, I thought it was well executed!
Yeah, I should've thought about putting those icons on the legend, I never realized that there was no clear connection on who was what outside of the countryballs, and for the papers I kinda ran out of time to troubleshoot it, but thanks for the feedback and playing!

Great game, the only problem i had was the papers that didn't work so well when i drag them, still incredible game 10/10
Thank you! Honestly the papers weren't even working properly until a few hours before the deadline, so when I realize the bug in moving them, I was kinda just too exhausted to figure out what was wrong.
Cool game - UI looks super cool, love how the map is dynamic when nations claim territory and love the bell dinging noise. I did find it hard to understand what territory nations were trying to claim until it was done - maybe there was some indicator I missed there? It always just said "trying to claim such territory", and when I moused over for details it said "[affected nation]". Some more indication of which nation is being taken over would be nice, and having [affected nation] be replaced with the actual nation. Also dragging the Intro/other stories from the bottom was a bit finicky - I did, however very much appreciate the world building and inspiration for the game though. Music also helped set the scene of "world on the brink of war".
Yeah, I was planning on doing that, but couldn't get to it in time; there was a whole lot of customization that I didn't get to, but thanks!
