Is there any introduction? Did I missed it? I think with some kind of directions I would have enjoyed it more.

Developer

No, I kept things simple since it's my first game. So I didn't think an overly wordy tutorial would be nessesary. What bit of it did you not understand so I can improve that for any future projects.

It's definitely a bit rough but the fact that the core mechanic is enjoyable and makes you say: "huh" is really fantastic. Mine was also a first game jam submission. I think you should be really proud of yourself for this!

It's a bit rough around the edges sure, but the game slowly keeps introducing more mechanics each level in an understandable way and has very interesting mechanics. From a gamedesign perspective, I think its quite well done. Especially all alone in the first gamejam!

I like the idea of separating the different scaling abilities between height, width, and mass. It opens up some opportunities for cool puzzles, like the one where you need to shrink the block's width, tip it over, and then scale it back up and let it raise you towards the goal (level 4, I think). How do you beat the level where you need to collect the three keys, though?

Developer

You get the blue key, which lets you press 2 to scale Y. Then use that to get the red (X scale) key on the left, then use both to get the green key in the pit on the right, which lets you change the mass of the block blocking the exit.

Which part specifically did you get stuck on, so I can avoid a similar situation in any future games.

I couldn’t find the block I needed to scale to get the red key. Or are you supposed to use the block that covers the hole to the green key somehow?

Developer(+1)

It's the same one thats blocking the exit, you shrink that to get up there where there's another block to use (unless they clipped through the floor. If you want to get back to this puzzle quickly, press B while on the menu screen.

Very impressive that this was done as a solo dev on your first game jam. Nails the theme perfectly with the increase and decrease mechanic! Great job

Pressing E just restarts the level :)) There are a few more bugs, cornering the box is unrecoverable. Thanks for your effort tho :)
