The music was great I especially liked the main menu music the gameplay was a little slow for my taste but super cool and pretty fun . I liked the snail sitting on a chair in the background it was so cute! nice game :)

HeHe, the snail is my favorite background decoration (*‘ v`*). Maybe I can add an option to change the speed and give some score bonuses for different speeds. Players can choose the speed they want (`・∀・).

P.S. The song name is 'Morning'. You can find it here : https://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/music.html.

Good Ideas. Thanks for giving me the song name! :)

Nice game, really cute! I agree with gbrown3, you could add more to this game, and some obstacles were very clever! Also, it would be cool if the game could be in fullscreen :>

I haven’t tried full screen yet—sounds awesome :D! I’m going to try it right now (✪ω✪)!

Thank you! I spent a lot of time and code on the art, so I’m really happy you like it (*‘ v`*).

Love the comfy music and cute aesthetics! The core mechanic definitely fits the theme of the jam. I found myself wishing there were more obstacles that required stretching vertically - seems like the vast majority can just be passed by going as flat as possible. There was one particularly clever one that forces you to switch from fully horizontal to fully vertical in the air - more like that please!

Developer

Thank you for your reply :D. I’ve been worried about the game levels being unfair for a long time too. The game I’m making is a “side-scrolling” game, which means most obstacles come from the right side. It’s easier to make players move horizontal than vertical in this type of game.

Right now, I’m thinking about changing the direction the screen moves in the game, but I don’t know how to do it yet (´_ゝ`). If you have any ideas on how to make players move up and down more, please share them with me! If I think your idea works, I might add it to the game after this GameJam is over d(`・∀・)b.

Changing the scrolling direction seems like a great way to encourage more vertical scaling!
