Nice little game, everything looked pretty good, but I would suggest making your background tileset a little more differently shaded than your foreground, sometimes it was hard to tell what was a platform I could jump on and what was part of the background.
You could call Disney for a Marvel license and turn it into the official Ant Man game 😎It also took a second for me to figure out that space was dash (the sign said "s"). But really cute game! The mouse would fit in really well in our game.
The shrink and grow mechanic works well, the dash took a second to figure out but I got it in the end. This is an awesome first jam game! I liked that some of the jumps required you to be small, I think if you keep exploring this game you should expand on the parts that require you to change your scale, maybe you have to do a jumping puzzle while small to get a key that you need to use when big. Keep it up!
The grow and shrink mechanic + dash makes a really fun game. The keybinds can be a little rough I also suggest a volume setting in your menu. This is your first game jam and I would be interested to see how it did turn out with the full 96 hours besides that. For this being your first game jam its really good keep jamming im sure you will learn lots. Nice work!
This is also my first game jam and I would appreciate if you checked out my game.
Hi,
Really enjoyed the grow and shrink mechanic. I found the Keybinds to be a bit counterintuitive and also noticed that the right ones weren't communicated during the tutorial part. I would put the Jump on space and the dash as kind of a double jump, when you press again in the air. The Sprites were really cute and fit the overall theme. I would really like to know how the game would've turned out if u had used the full 96 hrs, because the core mechanics were really interesting.
Thanks for the feedback and yea I don't play a lot of games with keyboard and didn't know the best control method however I'm thinking about remastering the game and appreciate this feedback to work on better controls. I had things to take care of for the first two days of the jam and thought the jam ended on the 19th so i spent all of that day making the game making this game the fastest game I worked on
