This was pretty fun! It feels good to play as a locust swarm and just go ham all around the map. Loved the camera zoom in.

I didn't really understand why I lost, but it's an interesting game!

You most likely ran out of food - need to constantly eat and tiles you've already eaten don't provide any food.

I like the simulation, but it seems more like a slightly gamified simulation than an actual game. The varying medals were a nice touch, though.

Also the particle effects that are visible in the screenshots here on Itch weren't visible in my game (I was playing on the Linux download).

I was testing this on a windows PC and even needed to build it twice for windows because the first time the particles did not show up and assumed the factor that decided weather or not they show up would be consistent depending on behaviour within the editor, but apparently, they are more random than I thought. This is certainly a bug on unity's end, I hope to fix it after the jam. Furthermore, thank you for the feedback. Should have probably only posted the windows version in hindsight.
