I really like this idea. I think it would've benefitted from slower pacing. The fish just start spawning instantly and all at once and just stay that way the whole time. If it had started slower with maybe less health to make it more strategic it would've been more enjoyable. Also the ability to rotate your guns. Or they slowly spin in the air so you have to time it correctly to latch them on in the right spot. All that being said it was fun. My high score was 98.
Very cool and unique idea. The background music is a bit annoying. I do like the idea, i feel it could've been executed in a better way, like which side you hit with the upgrade it auto attaches itself and looks away from the player, cause what ended up happening was there is too many upgrades facing the right side, but i do like this unique idea, good job!
This was our first jam game, so we could've been better prepared with scripts and organization, and ended up with more time for adding small things, tuning existing systems and polishing the game up a bit. We barely had time to have the weapons crack when they're almost destroyed!
We were originally supposed to represent the player's health on the little bar on the ship core, and have a simple tutorial, as well as some kinda of system or menu that gives more info on all the items (which, including the un-implemented ones, all have names, named after onomatopoeia) and enemies (if we had managed to implement more than the tigerfish).
I realized the main theme music feels a bit.. messy. If we ever decide to expand this game, I'm definitely gonna rework that. I'm pretty happy with the title theme, though I wish we had time for a better transition from the title screen so the music doesn't just abruptly switch.
Thanks for the feedback and support though!
