I love the style of the game in B&W and the UI is really nice too ! The concept is interesting but maybe a little hard to acclimate to. And I think it would have helped the atmosphere to add some more SFX and music. Good job overall !

The sense of style in this was really cool. I really like the inclusion of the height counter at the bottom!

Sadly I just didn't know where to go after getting the charge jump upgrade, so I quit the game then. Also, the upgrades could've done with more visual polish than a standard grey cube.

The controls themselves felt a bit floaty at times and I especially found it frustrating that I'd sometimes bounce off of edges and slide off them.

I really wanted to give this a chance because the artstyle looks so cool but nothing seems to be working. Let me start with the controls. Please don’t just say “standard controls” and move on at least include them in the game page. I had no idea what to press for 5 minutes straight until I spammed every key on my keyboard to find the right one and “2 to pickup” seriously? This is standard controls? The grappling hook thing doesn’t seem to work and the wall jump is just too hard to perform. I know you gave it your best shot(and without sleep) that’s why I am giving you feedback so you improve upon it. In short:

  • Include a tutorial or something to teach the controls
  • Use control scheme to which gamers are more accustomed to eg. [E] to pickup
  • Lastly the controller should be more responsive but I am sure you are well aware of this one as you mentioned it in the description of the game page.

One thing I really loved though is the artstyle. The hand-drawn fps animations with monochromatic colors is really aesthetically pleasing.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm sorry things were unclear, that is a fault on my end. One of those things where I implement pickup on '2' then just play test without any other feedback and forget that button is even a consideration. I'll update the instructions page asap.

The wall jump needs fixing in the final build for some reason its less powerful than in test builds, making it significantly harder.

And lastly the grapple hook issues I think come down to a lot of lack of clarity on how to use it. I'll do my best to update the instructions.

Thank you so much for playing and the feedback, and I'm so glad you liked the art style. I'll have to be more careful in my next project and not bite off more than I can chew. Also play testers before release. Again, I really appreciate it.
