I escaped! Yay ! Ok, the presentation could be a little bit better, but the experience is very well crafted, I loved it! Really nice job!

The growing alien adds such a huge amount of tension, and really great level design! Nice job!
Nice idea, sometimes crowbar and light bugged and couldnt pick any as crowbar was closer to me than light. Better sound management and you got a great mini game!
Very fun entry! I loved the back and forth of learning from mistakes and finding a better path on the next try. Nice artwork and atmosphere. Overall nice work!
Very fun puzzle to do, a bit more variation on the walking sounds and it would be perfect for me.
Great work!
Loved the eerie atmosphere and the alien design! The tension really builds up as you try to figure out the puzzle. I struggled with the timing of the door opening, which was a bit frustrating, but overall, it's a solid and creative horror puzzle game. Great work!
Contaminant delivers a tense and atmospheric point-and-click adventure that really captures those classic alien vibes. The eerie setting on a Mars base, combined with the rapidly spreading tentacles, creates a sense of urgency and suspense that keeps you on edge.
The gameplay is intriguing, but I’m not sure if I missed something—the door seems to open just as the alien reaches me, and I’ve ended up dying every time. If that’s intentional, it definitely amps up the tension, but it’s a bit frustrating not knowing if I’m doing something wrong or if it’s just part of the challenge.
Overall, it’s a well-crafted experience that nails the creepy, horror atmosphere. Great job!
Thank you for taking time to write a detailed review! A lot of other people have pointed out the same issues and we should have made it more obvious as to what needs to be done ie. environmental clues, more player feedback etc. However a simple sound effect is all we had time for to indicate that the alien broke the door to outgrow the ship. It just so happens that it also reaches you when it breaks the door so the player should figure out that it needs to electrocute the alien as soon as that happens.
Couldnt beat the game but it was very fun to learn from mistakes and to make a mindmap of tasks to do and to map out the shortest(fastest) path in order to escape! very fun game, you should expand upon it to make a really good horror escape experience!
The sound effects here are top notch! The echoey footsteps and humming generator are so evocative and great for a horror game. I could not figure out what to do to open the door, though. Maybe some glowing indicators to hint to the player what to interact with would be helpful? But overall, great work!
Did not end up escaping the alien, I liked the idea that you figure things out yourself without getting your hand held but it reminded me of a time I couldn't find a knife in resident evil and died over and over. Personal trauma haha, but the style and sound effects are really cool! It's a great concept executed very well :) Nothing to do with me not being able to escape scary aliens
Pretty fun. I can't quite escape and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm just getting lucky. I've managed to gear up and push back the monster, but then all that's left to do is wait for the door to open and it doesn't open in time? Am I missing a step or is it just a timing issue? Visual clarity could maybe be improved a bit, but apart from that, nice little puzzle!
The organism helps convey a sense of urgency. I was honestly scared about how fast it was growing.(Im easily scared)
Could figure it out in the end. Good idea, the puzzle element. But some things are not clear why they happen - for example, why does the door open after a fixed time, etc. But anyway, cool game!
I wasn't able to find the solution, but it was fun trying. One thing I would change is the snappy movement, since its a little jarring and makes it hard to control. I got to the point where I electrocuted the alien, and I thought that was meant to be the big a-ha! moment and the end of the game, but it just grew right back and I was cornered. So some more clues or directions would be nice.
Love how the alien looks, vines grabbing at you are terrifying. Didn't fully understand what to do, each thing could have had a description of what it does because I was a bit confused. However, its a very creative and original idea and the art looked quite good. You should be proud!!
