The game is cool, i liked saving the universe a lot :) I'll still point out some issues for improvement, i think the tutorial is a bit too long for a game that is not that complicated (i started skipping it at some point and the description of the buttons was enough for me) and also i find the game a bit too easy. Except these minor issues, the game's great so good job :D !

(And olso idk why but when i tried to download the game there was a warning message telling me that itch had put the game "in quarantine, due to potential suspicious behavior from the page owner. ")

Thanks for trying it :)

Great game, needs some polish and improvement with balance but my overall experience was quite good. Congrats

Full disclosure: I helped the team with the Voice Over recordings but that was pretty much the limit of my involvement. Overall I think the visuals turned out well, gameplay was simple enough to grasp. The tutorial, VO and music added extra value. Plus the lil backstory which is more than what i've seen on a lot of the other games i played that were submitted to the jam. A lot to do in 4 days but we got it done :-) Has a lot of room for improvement of course, but its off to a good start. Looking forward to reading all the comments and feedback from everyone who tried it out :-)

I felt like i was sky rocketing at a certain point which broke my economy but apart from that (and the IA photo ahah) it was fun to play so good job !

I had a good time playing this! I would agree with the previous comment that the prices of things should increase after you purchase them. I could just spam click merch stores, then my profits were permanently sky high.

Otherwise, neat game!

Great work!

Interesing idea! It'd be a good idea to have the prices increase because its really easy to just get a bunch of merch stores and then never have to worry about money.
It  would be nice is a buy multiplier so that you can buy 10 things at once.
Also maybe consider using long instead of int because I managed to overflow the lifeforms saved into negative values (int owerflows at like 2.5 billion  and long at like 9.2 quintillion) or since you dont need negative numbers anyways ulong  (overflows at like 18 quintillion) would be even better.
Another suggestion is maybe having the offers stay on screen a bit longer but thats a minor thing.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback - you are spot on! We meant to make them scale (cost) or transform the button to bulk-buy at certain stages. alas no time. We didn't think (famous last words) that people would still manage to overflow :)

The good ol' "no matter how much you test users will still find a way to break your code" lmao

Thanks for lending us YOUR VOICE ExpatBrat ;-) Shameless promotion, here's her twitch handle: Twitch.tv/expatbrat
Give her a follow / sub and watch her streams she really knows her shit when it comes to gaming :-)

It’s like a warm hug from a friendly ghost—if that ghost also had a penchant for chaos. The gameplay is engaging, and the visuals are delightful. Just remember, if you start questioning your life choices, it’s all part of the fun! Highly recommend for a good time!

I had fun trying to get my citizen saving rate as high as possible and the presentation is great. I did find it too easy though, especially at the beginning. I didn't have to build anything for satisfaction outside of taking a couple choices to boost it and it was very quick to get to a point where I had enough money production to never run out, and at that point its just clicking on recruitment centers and offices as fast as possible

Developer

Thanks for giving it a shot :)

Yeah we just didn't have time to make a proper balance pass and add the other systems that would have made it a bit more interesting. Glad you reached the same conclusion as we did!

Not sure why the robot lady was laughing all the time, but I managed to save 1.5 billion lifeforms! so Yay!

Developer

Her animations were supposed to tie into the voice lines but we ran out of time so just looped it.
