Since I figured it out: for anyone who'd like to know what you're meant to do... when you submit the papers, if you got it right you'll progress to the next step, and if you got it wrong it reappears again as a blank. You'll have to fight the buggy controls very much... LMB selects a random object to pick up rather than the one on top, and this also randomly sets which document will be stamped, choosing a randomly different one each time you pick it up again.

(short guide: if holding a stamp and right-clicking won't stamp it, pick up the document then try again until it eventually selects it as the right one & allows stamping it). It's also possible to accidentally stamp the edge of a different document by 1 pixel and not realize it.
Maybe there's a better way? But I'm not quite sure what the description meant.

Very short, simple, and without the nice stuff a game has. But a really great idea for the jam and of the few games I've played the idea is the most novel so I love it for that, even if it suffers really really badly from the bugs, no tutorial, and so on.

Congratulations on your first GMTK game! I am sure it has lots of potential and it would be really interesting to play the full version :) I liked the characters, looks like each has their own personality. Wish you luck!

Fun idea, didn't seem to work good though, nothing would go through the tube and I couldn't hear any audio

Developer

Sadly audio was not in the books for us this game jam. If you have the time I would be appreciative to know what went wrong?

I see, I figured there would be audio or text boxes or something what with there being a call option. As for what went wrong, I took the time to record a video, somehow during the recording it did work the second time I did it, but as far as I can tell I didn't really do anything different... First time round the tube just kept seeming to spit out everything I put in, regardless of how I stamped it.

edit: finished the game properly now, cute ending, curious where this project will go if you keep with it like you say in the end screen :)

I was a bit lost on what to do, I tried reading the manual and did what I thought was right, but after stamping and putting things in the tube and pressing submit it just ejected everything without any feedback. I do really like the concept though!

We really appreciate you taking the time to try Please Approve! We originally wanted to have a tutorial but we just didn't have the time ... something for the full release :)
