Liked the moody pixel visual concept of the game. The dynamic lighting with the somber color palette is a fantastic combination. Though I think the new building needs to be explained better before being built on the new region. The picture is way too small to make sense of and I only know what they are after buying them, making my early decisions quite non strategical. But overall enjoyable, reminded me of classic civilization games. :)
Awesome game! This is definitely the longest I played with a game on this jam. Mechanics aren't new, but the random buildings and building sites on the new areas are a nice twist. It reminds me of Rebuild 2.
The art is nice, my only problem with it is the pixel size of the ground tiles, but maybe that's just a glitch on my side.
I wasn't sure what was the tool for, but produced a few of that too.
Anyway, I won, even though I wasn't sure what was the end goal, and there were plenty of areas to buy yet.
Maybe some unlockable building types or special areas could keep the game more engaging on the long run.
All in all, I really enjoyed it, well done!
The art style is beautiful! The pixel artwork is great and brings a very moody atmosphere to the game. I personally had trouble figuring out what I had to do to succeed in the game. A tutorial would do wonders, especially for those who aren't familiar with resource management games. I think it would also be cool to implement little animated people into the village as you develop it, similar to rollercoaster tycoon.
Great work overall!
Love the resource hoarding stimulus! Bit confusing at first, but otherwise a well-crafted game.
The game is a bit buggy, but overall cool concept!
