Very nice and polish game, but for me it's hard to control. Sometime use mouse don't work for me at start.

Hey thanks for playing! Can you elaborate on what you mean by the mouse doesn't work at the start? Do you mean you can't place blocks right away at the beginning? Because you don't start with any snow to place blocks, but if there is some other problem please let me know so I can look into it!

I figured out it! thank for explaining!

The snow man in the beginning of the game drove me a little crazy, seemed a bit punishing as someone trying to learn the game. Maybe introduce him in later points. Overall though awesome job and great execution

Took me a while to figure it out, it scrolls pretty quick and i died a few times which was a little frustrating. Obv time allowing a short tutorial or something would have been nice to have. Or even just pop up hints or the controls in a corner somewhere on screen. Very cute game and sound effects (the squeaking especially lol) however curse whoever chose a christmas song as thats now stuck in my head rent free.

Would greatly appreciate you give our game a go and a rating https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2914018

I suck at platformers and almost gave up with this, but glad I didn't and just "got good"; well, not that good, but enough to enjoy the game. My first 5 stars in the Style category and well-deserved, it all felt really well polished, thematically cohesive and topped off with a late-night lounge version of Deck The Halls!

Like others have said, I think the very beginning could have been made clearer, though the wrap-around is clever and well implemented. Additionally, I wonder if the grey platforms could have been permanent, to act as "safe spaces" for the player - almost like a checkpoint; there would then be room throughout the game to introduce new surfaces that were less safe - slippery ice blocks, or ones that fall after a few seconds of shaking etc.

Great job overall though, and my penguin, like my game development aspirations, never really got much off the ground haha.

A very cute game! I like the design that the blocks can be destroyed by snowman and icicles which added a level of dynamic challenge to the game.

A nit would be that the instructions could be clearer. Took some time to figure out that I need to erase the ice blocks to begin the game.

The sound effects were nice. The game was also hard to master which was nice.

Once I discovered you could hold click to place blocks it became really fun. It's surprisingly challenging but a really fun mechanic. I really enjoyed drawing massive stair cases and then pulling them back behind me
