Very solid game! Was nice to see a mobile entry as well. I think allowing the player to manage the randomness a bit would take it to the next level. Good job overall!

Eyyyy nice to see you back at another game jam! Loved the idea of using random weapons and jump heights, fits the theme really well😂 Tho I would suggest adding some sort of cool down cuz I found myself spamming the weapons lol. Great job and great to see you again!

Everyone play this man’s game and check out his channel! https://youtube.com/channel/UCEqSuROQ9XCH30dq63-GwUQ
That’s honestly genius man, when play testing I always just spammed the fire button as well and never thought about fixing it. I even could have made the cool down timer random adding another level. I really appreciate your feedback and glad you stopped by! Also thanks for the shout on your page

Fun and simple game! The sound effects did jump scare me a bit, but still a fun take on this years theme

Cool game! Everything feels very polished and the gameplay is intuitive and easy to understand. The randomized weapons are cool as well. The only thing for me was that the sound effects were a bit too loud, so some sort of volume control would've been nice to have. Overall though it was quite a lot of fun playing. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing and that’s really good information to have about the sound. I didn’t really test it with headphones and should definitely do so from here on out

This game was super juicy with all the screen shake, sound effects and particles. Good concept and I liked how literally you interpreted the theme. Good job and I'm amazed you made this on your phone.

Developer

Thank you for playing and I’m glad you enjoyed it! The juice was to make up for the lack of animation and general low pixel art style so I’m glad it worked haha. Honestly man if you know the basics of Construct it’s equally intuitive on a phone as it is on a PC, it’s a super impressive feat of the Scirra team and makes Game Dev so much more accessible for someone like me who can only really work on games during breaks at work

I just spammed the shoot button and it served me pretty well but I missed out on any strategic elements that the randomness would've created.

Developer

not gonna lie, while test playing I found that to be a very effective technique. As well as hitting shoot rapidly maybe 3-4 times and then quickly jumping just in case the enemy didn’t die haha

The idea is simple but I enjoy playing it. It would have been easier with keyboard inputs but you needed more time to do it ;)

Developer

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to play the game and I definitely agree with the keyboard inputs. I wish I would have had the ability to test it on a computer during the jam and worked something out but the last game I made was a nightmare to try and properly implement and ended up breaking the animations

Idea is pretty simple. Jump to avoid enemies or shoot them. It would be good if I could jump with spacebar instead of clicking on the button. Other than that, it's pretty nice.

Developer(+1)

I wanted to implement keyboard inputs but I had to work all weekend so I essentially had breaks at work and some time I should have been sleeping to work on this game. I greatly appreciate you stopping in, taking the time to play the game, and leaving feedback. Thank you!

Very minimalistic and enjoyable!

It was sometimes a bit frustrating when I couldn't do anything about dogs coming at me, high rng-based game (or maybe I missed something?) but the creativity and the presentation were top-notch nonetheless! Good job!

Developer(+1)

I’m glad you enjoyed it friend! I didn’t really have any ideas that fit rolling dice so I just kind of went the metaphorical route and made everything a roll of the dice. From the amount of coins you get to jump strength and bullet speeds. I agree it does often get frustrating which is not something I ever set out to do. I appreciate your feedback friend!

Submitted(+1)

Oh my I didn't even realize even the amount of coins were roll of the dice! I guess the dog's HP was too? I wasn't sure if it was like random, or whether it was like the same dog coming and over and over again and I had already damaged it? :D Knowing this actually makes it notch up the creativity some more haha!

Developer

thank you again! Yes all the enemy health and speeds are randomized as well

I didn't know you can make decent games like this on iOS! Really interesting!

Developer

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Once you get the hang of it, using Construct on your phone is almost as intuitive as it is on PC
