I like the enemy design and shooting feels great, especially with higher dice. Great work.

Developer

Hello friends,

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who tested the game so far and reviewed it. Your comments and really appreciated!

We created Guns N' Dice as a team of two (Corentin: game designer who also did art, and Nicolas:  technical game designer) and wanted to do a "chill game jam" experimenting and creating juicy gameplay. We obviously didn't have time to implement everything that we wanted in this prototype, but we are happy that the core gameplay is working.

(Pro tip: You can sprint with "Shift" 😋)

Have a nice time playtesting!

Very satisfying to play especially with the d100 loaded and the good sfx. Pretty nice graphics, I especially like the halo of dice around the power ups, and that the bodies of the dice stay on the ground where I killed them.

After 10 minutes had passed I worked out I could just sit on a staircase and shoot them, which made it much easier as running around you cannot hear were the enemies are because they have no sfx to themselves, which I would change, and balance wise this strategy worked much better then I think it should have, but It was fun anyway.

Very well done and impressive to have a first person shooter for a game jam! Very nicely thought for how to use the theme, enemies shooting feels good with the FX and thanks for including arrow keys as movement for azerty player! My minor feedbacks would be that a lot of time the enemies are behind us and we didn't see them coming so either have wave announcement or SFX would be nice and it would have been very satisfying to one shot enemies if we shoot in their weak spots (maybe the eye?), anyway great job for the entry and it's an absolutely adrenaline shoot to find the 100 bullets balloons, so satisfying!!

The artstyle is amazing! I love how the dice looks and the hand looks when rolling the dice or reloading. It was a very cool concept and it looks awesome!

ok the enemy designs look fun as hell and the animations are very charming... game was too difficult for me though and I die on the third round of enemies every time (the mouse sensitivity isn't for me)
