Hey, I played your game on the stream
many dialogues) hung game
The writing is really great, as great as the idea.
That ending feels like a bug haha, nice that you put it in the description :p.
I just read about other comments and not much things to add, I'm happy that I'll have that post jam version soon :p.
I was hooked from the thumbnail and it kept delivering!
It's always amazing to see stories in a jam, especially when it presented to you with a beautiful art and fell
love it
Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback. I'm very glad you liked the story and the art.
There are two things this game nails very well - its character art and its writing. Both of these complement each other, making me almost be able to "hear" their voices in my head just by seeing their face, their pose, their clothes and the way they speak. That was very effective.
What wasn't that effective, though, was the gameplay itself... at least to me. I didn't quite "get" the whole resource management system, and so just went with whatever choice felt more appropriate for each character, instead of thinking strategically about the group as a whole. I'm not sure if that was the intended experience.
In any case, I like the general concept - that I care for these characters, and so must make difficult choices considering both tactics and my personal attachments. If the system were more intuitive, I'd have liked it a lot.
Thanks so much for playing and for taking the time to leave very detailed feedback. There will be a post-Jam version of the game that addresses some of the points about the mechanics, as it was something we wanted to make clearer but ran out of time on. Glad you liked the art and the writing through.
Interesting story cant believe the amount of characters written in such short time. My only gripe was that the choices were quite easy i think. Able to %100 survival rate every night. Would have liked some choices to carry some higher risks.
Thanks for much for playing, and yes, our writer really did a lot. There's a post-Jam version of the game coming, which should tweak the difficulty somewhat.
Well done! Really interesting story-based visual novel but requiring choices based on stats, etc. I think your writing was quite good too, especially for a game jam, wow. The various characters all had their niches but I think were done well. Great art with them too!
Thanks so much for playing, and glad you liked the story and the characters. We really tried to give them all their own personality.
I loved it! The story-driven element is amazing! I only wish the background could have been spruced up a bit and a custom font used because it's heartbreaking to see such a beautiful game use a default font!
(EDIT: Wow, that was easy! I survived all 3 nights with a 100% chance of survival!)
Thanks so much for playing, and glad you liked the story. You'll be pleased to hear that there's a post-Jam version coming, with fancier backgrounds and fonts, and a tweaked difficulty. At present, either everyone survives or everyone dies...
Gotta love the art
Thanks so much! Our artist did some incredible work.
This is so awesome! The art is amazing, the characters are very likable, the music is awesome. I would love to see more of this after the jam
While the characters are awesome, at the beginning the dialog felt a bit too long, I really wanted to see what those choices I'll need to make are. On my first try I killed everyone :(
Hope you'll keep working on this, I would love to see a completed game. Great job honestly!
Thanks so much for playing. There's a post-Jam version on its way, which will have a proper ending (and an ability to skip that opening dialogue in case you want replay and try to keep everyone alive.
Neat! The characters were fun
Thanks so much for playing!
Such a cool game! The art and writing were top-notch, and each of the characters were unique and funny. I've seen a few visual novel / narrative heavy games in this jam, and the writing here is by far the best! Great stuff
Thanks so much for playing. Glad you liked the characters; we tried really hard to make you care for them.
This was a very cool and fun game. I really like the art style and the characters all had their own charm to them. Great job!
Thanks so much for playing. Glad you liked the art and the characters; I think our artist and writer did a really good job here.
interesting art) I’ll play your game on the stream again. Please give my game a try if you have some time!
Thanks for playing the game! I had a look at your streams and couldn't see you playing the game, but would love to see that if you have a link. Glad you like the art too; I think our artist did a brilliant job.
another jam started, did not have time to play again. I will definitely start it again.
Reeeaallly cool. Love the way it all works together, art and music totally fitting.
The idea is interesting and the story is fun to play! Death is always a great concept to explore!
Awesome!
Thanks so much for playing, and glad you liked the presentation. Our artist and composer did a fantastic job to bring the world alive.
Man! This was such a cool game! I really enjoyed playing it. Great writing and interpretation of the theme. I can easily see this growing into a full-fledged game.
One thing I noticed is because I wanted to know what happens next fast, I kept hitting the dialogue window and I missed a couple of lines. So maybe it'd be cool to have "did you understand what I just said?" type option periodically... Or, maybe it's just me. lol
Thanks so much for playing and glad you liked the writing. There will be a post-Jam version of the game on its way, and it'll make it a lot harder to skip some of that dialogue you liked so much (and will also have an ending). Keep an eye out, and thanks again for playing and leaving a review!
God I love the concept and writing for this game so much. All of the dialogue and different narratives when you save or lose someone on each day are incredibly charming and interesting and just the overall creativity of the idea is something I'd love to see expanded into a full game.
Whilst the character art was very good, the UI did feel quite janky but that's fully understandable given the time constraints of a game jam, would improve the overall feel though if in the completed version the UI and font were updated to something more unique.
Overall though it was such a joy to play, probably one of my favourites I've played so far. Genuinely in awe of your ability to make a group of characters so likeable in such a short period of time.
omg hii im a big fan of your game ^____^ (artist here)
I would love to draw up an update to the UI if we ever re-explore development
omg that's really flattering to hear aaa, thanks!
the art you did for the game is genuinely so good and really full of character and the fact you managed to do so many character designs + drawings within the 48 hours is really impressive (I did the 2D art for our game so like vaguely get the struggle of arting under time pressure lol)
Thanks so much for playing, and glad you enjoyed the concept and the writing. As our artist has already said, there is a post-jam version in the works, with some updated UI (and an ending).
Amazing artwork, and the dialog was pretty engaging too :)
Maybe I made all the wrong choices, but I wasn’t sure I was influencing the outcomes all the much; maybe my team would have been better without me :D
Be interesting to see how it ends :D
Thanks so much for playing, and glad you liked the art and the dialogue. There's a post-jam version coming with an ending, so keep an eye out for that. It'll also make it easier to see what outcomes your decisions have, so you'll be able to keep people alive. :)
The style, music, and art are all beautiful. The gameplay is very fun and enjoyable and I could see this being turned into a full game one day
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed the game. There is a post-jam version that is closer to a full game, and will have a proper end to the story, so keep an eye out!
really enjoyed the style and the story going on, just wasn't really sure how my decisions were better/ worse from each other, also it ended at night 3.
would love to try the completed game after the rating period :)
Thanks so much for playing and glad you liked the style and the story. A post-jam version is on its way, with a proper ending, some clearer direction on the decisions you make, and improved UI. Keep an eye out!
The soundtrack and artwork are absolutely awesome. The dialogue between the different characters was very well told, it gives the characters more life. I just didn't quite understand why it's intended that the game ends after the third night. I didn't understand how to save the characters either. Almost everyone died in my playthrough. However, I think you have submitted a good visual novel.
Thanks so much for playing and for your kind words. The plan was to have four nights, and it will have that after the jam voting, but we just ran out of time.
