Neat game! Great work for your first time. I really like dice games like yahtzee so found this quite enjoyable.

Good work! I think the idea is fun but I had trouble dragging the dice around. If you cross the lower line of dice slots on your way up to the multiplier slots, the dice gets used by the former. This can lead to some frustration. With a little cleaning up this could be a really nice and simple game!

Developer

Thanks I am working on making them removable for a post-jam update it but for now you can slide them from the dice spawn area to avoid that

very fun idea!

For your first game this is pretty cool! Just finishing a game in itself is hard!

\very interesting concept with nice art! 100x better than my first game jam attempt too, good job! :)

I can't get rid of the italics lol

thank you, I think you need to press the / button in the comments to disable them.

Cool idea and for a first game is super neat!

Developer(+1)

thanks, actually came up with the idea during the second day when i realized I was overs-scoping haha

Developer

note: I discovered a bug, if you try to hover a dice over the multiplier slots and they are already occupied the game thinks that you used the die. The game uses this count to trigger game over when you have less than 6 dice, please refrain from doing this because it could result in an early game over. The bug will be fixed after the jam.

Nice submission. UI feels pretty nice to use.

Glad to hear that!

Not my cup of tea but fantastic for a first game and overall pretty good.

Developer

Thank you I hope to make more soon!

Nice mechanics, the only flaw is that if I dropped a dicein the wrong place I couldn't remove it.

Developer (1 edit)

thank you soo much. I knew that would be an issue but honestly didn't know how to fix it since the way the code currently works is that it kills the die node and just updates the sprite so that it looks like the dice is in there.

You can save the value of the dice as a variable in an array and take it from there to create a new node when the sprite is clicked.
Otherwise change the condition to place the die so that it happens until you stop holding the mouse down so its not as common to misplace dice

Developer

Thank you some much for the advice, after the jam I will update the game with the ability to remove them since getting your dice stuck is really anoying
