A fun idea for a game, I enjoyed the art style and the look of the main character a lot. I found the collision detection between the mc and flying enemies to be quite sensitive and I died a lot from jumping and then realizing there is an enemy there! Overall a game with potential to be expanded and improved on.
Thanks for your feedback!
It is a nice game you made. I appreciate the small tutorial in the beginning. A lot of jam games forget that part. Congrats on your submission :)
Thanks for playing, tutorial was something we though carefully about adding
The presentation and concept were really great. The combat system was very fun. Nice work!
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it
Had some Unity crash errors at first when I ran into bats but they seemed to go away once I figured out how they moved and could kill/avoid them. I really like the cat/9 lives idea and the randomized power each time you die mechanic. I felt like the controls were a bit finnicky, I found myself slipping a little too far when stopping and falling off edges.
Sorry about the crashes, glad you liked our game!
Great game! The movement is very smooth and the art is just amazing. The dice mechanic is really neat as well and of course the animations are wonderful. Like others have mentioned, the platforming feels a bit too smoothed over, which creates a lack of precision. But overall, I really enjoyed playing. Nice work!
Thanks for playing!
Very beautiful game. Wish the controls were more precise in terms of movement. Very curious to see if you guys will flesh this out more! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3
Thanks for playing! Controls is definitely something we aim to work on in the future
Got unity crash errors :( Bloody unity! Love the character, the art and the combat has a nice feel. Nice one
Thanks for playing, shame you got some crashes, we’ll be hoping to fix up any bugs after the jam
Cute little game with good mechanics to build upon.
I did not think the keyboard positions were awkward, just noticed later that you can also use the mouse to attack, which I found better.
Overall the game is a bit too short to really go into any details, but it's impressive that you could make something like this in 48 hours : )
Thanks for the kind feedback!
Enjoyed playing this on stream yesterday! Was a really cute platformer with cool vfx. loved that I was able to complete it with only one life left!! Kept me on the edge of my seat.
Thanks for playing, really enjoyed watching you try it out on stream and have fun with it!
game looks cool. Platforming could've been refined a bit and more enemy types is always fun.
Thanks for playing, in the future we would love to add some more variety!
Beautiful character and effects design! Great job :)
Thanks for checking it out!
This is very creative but I do wish the controls were better, they present a big obstacle, still its a very impressive project.
Thanks for the kind feedback
Nice job on completing your game. That's an accomplishment!
The randomizing a new ability lends itself well to the roguelite genre, so doing that randomization across 9 lives is a cool touch. The graphics and sprites were also really nice.
The controls didn't really work for me. L/K keys are an awkward keyboard position. Is there a reason you chose this instead of LMB/RMB or Q/E or even shift/space?
And I'm sure you know this, but try budgeting time for audio for your next jam. Once you've learned how to do some light audio, it makes a huge improvement to the overall feel of your game. Give it a go!
Again, congrats on finishing and submitting. Keep making games!
Thanks for the feedback! We were trying to stick to keyboard only controls but maybe giving the player the option would have been best here. Audio is definitely something we will work on improving for future jams!
I really liked the game, the art and the idea! congrats!
if you have the time, take a look at my game, i would really appreciate your feedback
Thanks for playing! We’ll be sure to check it out
Great graphics! Animation and sounds would really decorate the game. I get an error when the opponent touches me in web version, I had to play without taking damage, lol
Thanks for playing! Yeah unfortunately we ran into a last minute issue with the web build. The stand-alone build should work ok or you can continue to use the web build as ‘hard-mode’
Nice game! I enjoyed the abilities and life system which makes progression easier (if you are lucky tho) the movement deserves a bit of polish it will serve the cool art direction!
Glad to hear you enjoyed our game!
Game is fun, I like the idea and the dice abilities are pretty useful and balanced! But when bats kills me my game crushed:D so I have to do it damageless...
Great job!
Thanks for checking our game out. Luckily the bat glitch seems to be only in the browser mode… maybe we can call that hard mode XD
I enjoyed although I felt it was a bit rough (unpolished)! But I think that the game and idea are very good! Thank you for making it!
Thanks for playing, polish was definitely something we ran out of time for but would love to add some more in the future!

it's a decent game, but the movement could be improved and when i fall to the spikes, i can't jump out and i have to refresh to play it again
Thanks for the feedback! Movement is definitely something a few people have mentioned so we’ll be looking to try and improve that in the future. We think there might be an issue with the spikes occasionally not inflicting damage as they should send you back to your spawn point when you hit them
