I like the tower defense type of games! I think this has potential (limited resources, activation of 'canons'). I think you could push this further and make a really neat game out of it! Good job!
Love the choice of theme! The main guy looks sweet.
I think one improvement could be to increase the speed of the character as well as the spawn rate of ships, in order to make the gameplay a bit more chaotic.

A nice little game! Mechanics are easy to pick up and the game played smoothly. Also happy to see fellow Godot users :)
I found the concept interesting, my only issue was the control for picking up and dropping the dice were two different buttons.
The idea was pretty good but lacks a bit of expansion. For more enjoyment maybe increase the difficulty after some ships, remove the attack indicators and zoom out a little bit so I have to plan the defense myself. Also in the next version maybe you could add some more ship and dice types to spice things up. The music just stopped after a couple of minutes.
