This reminded me of Slender Man, was it of any sort of inspiration?
The game had a nice crafted atmosphere and I liked the character progression. I didn't understand the jumping ability, but surely the sprinting one was helpful. Also, I like that the game is disorienting: it fits the horror theme well. At the same time the map was not too big, so it was managable to find collectables, and the experience was quite enjoyable!
Thank you for your feedback!
Yes, I got my inspiration from Slender Man and the latest season of Stranger Things
Jumping gives you a little boost forward, it can help you to survive until you unlock sprinting, but i'll rework jumping in the future :)
Got it! Yes, you could simply making it more noticeable -- or you could make it crazy, like: you jump so high that you can jump over the enemy dice haha ^^
That D20 can catch up fast if you need to double back for a missed collectible... Nice. :)
What was the point of jumping though? Seemed like you could only jump as the D6, and if there was a prompt showing when you unlock sprinting, I must have missed it. I just accidentally discovered I could use it.
But I enjoyed it! Surprisingly tense.
One more note, since this is in Unity: You can use Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked to keep the cursor in the center of the screen and hide it. You can set that back to CursorLockMode.None if you need to re-enable it for menus or something.
Thank you for this review and helpful advices!
At the beginning there was a mechanic with jumping (you could jump over obstacles) but i removed it, so now jumping just gives you a little boost forward before you unlock sprinting. And it has lower cooldown than sprinting)
Prompts are shown at the upper right corner of the screen and they are too small, I'll fix this.
Thank you!
I really like the idea combining dice with horror style games, very unusual!) Good job!
Thanks!
Very very atmospheric game, nice sound of dice:)
Thanks))
Though I was critical at first, by among other things the shape of the d4, i was surprised by how much I enjoyed playing it. Maybe add some atmospheric sounds for more vibes
Thank you for playing and your feedback!
I had some ideas about general atmosphere of the game, but did not have enough time to implenet it :)
Spooky dice! Loved the concept and style :)
Thank you !
