Pretty cool! Besides the previously mentioned controls, one thing that was a problem is that when you run out of bullets that's it.  While it says you get more bullets every 100 points, there's no way to score points after you run out of bullets, at least as far as I can see.  Maybe a melee attack or something would have resolved that.

Also it could have used more audio-visual feedback.  Shooting things should feel more impactful.

The game needs a lot of work.

The controls weren't too bad; I actually got used to them pretty quick. Still, they could be better.

It's cool that you have different enemy types; you actually have more than my game. However, they are very easy to outrun and kill. I don't think the dice mechanic is particularly creative, it didn't make the game more challenging or neither a cakewalk. The gameplay just didn't have any high or lows.

Give the game also needs more juice. I want more than gunshot sounds, I want explosions, and I want blood and guts on the floor.

Also, I think the game is bugged. I somehow couldn't fire anymore even though I had plenty of ammo left.

That is all I have to say.

The controls were hard to get used to but that was the only negetive. It was a great game and fun overall.

The control scheme is a bit weird. Eventually I found my preferred style by running backward and use the mouse to turn and shoot enemies. Backward jumping Super Mario 64 style! :D

The global mechanics are solid. Shooting enemies is fun enough, and the difficulty is balanced. The dice determining which monsters will spawn is interesting. Although I regret there is no interaction with them. As it is, they could be replaced with a text on the screen and the game would work the same, they're mostly esthetic. Also, unless I misunderstood what the faces meant, I wish they would have provided more information by being something else than traditional dices. As it is, a "6" doesn't tell me much about what's going to happen. There could have been symbols more related to the game.

Another strange design aspect is that, once the player has no bullets, there doesn't seem to be a way to gain new ones? It's kind of a frustrating soft-lock situation, which can happen easily given that the monsters take a lot of damage to be defeated, and the gun is short ranged. Or I'm just bad at aiming, that's also a possibility.^^' The game could use a bit more of feedback on damages (either on ennemies, or on the player)

That being said, it was still fun to play! The presentation is nice enough to make the game enjoyable, and the randomness gives a nice element of surprise. For a genre that can quickly get frustrating, your entry has a good balance of challenge without feeling too easy. Nice job!

oh my god, thank you so so much, I agree the controls are weird, you're absolutely right, I should have added more stuff to the dice. I hope you noticed that the number they read is the number of monsters spawned.

Also the bullets automatically reload after every 100 score points, it's in the tutorial on the beginning! Although a big block of text isn't really going to make people stop and read.

Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback, I'm grateful

Cool concept with the dice deciding what spawns.

The controlls however make no sence at all. It's clearly supposed to be a twinstick shooter but by making the player walk to where they aim it just makes it awkward to play.

The lack of projectiles makes it hard to see if you hit anything.

I liked the big dice boss! The control feels a bit weird for me, because usually we are used to moving directions being relative to the camera, not the facing. This feels like some 2D driving.

Developer

thanks! I've got a lot of comments about the co trips, sorry about that

I enjoyed the big dice! After a few tries, I really got a hold of it. I'd love a more challenging mode!

I liked the bullet reload concept, makes the player shoot more carefully when there's a chance of losing everything.

Thanks for noticing!
