Wow, frenetic game!
Thanks for commenting. My goal after this game jam is to make a horde / swarm type game.
ran it on linux via wine with a steam controller. i did not manage to complete it i got the four towers and the plant but could not get the final towers up.
i found the plugging in the tower with the joysticks to be a fun task under pressure! but the horde moving through walls was very frustrating to me.
Thanks for making game i had fun!
Great that you had fun. My goal is to create a swarm / horde type game so I gave the enemies the ability to crawl up walls.
i tried to play your game using the switch pro comtroller, it worked on web but not on executable, it's seriously lagging on web build
Yup that's my fault. I never did web based godot exporting so I don't know how to optimize the web version.
This was a real trip lol. I never managed to win the whole thing, but I got the plant activated. I feel like a few small tweeks and this can be much more playable. The gun did not seem like it actually killed the ants, it seemed better to just dash as fast as you could, and also having to pull the trigger each time was tough. If it fired full auto and you could try to reduce the enemy numbers a bit I feel like this would be really solid. Still, for your first jam, and in 3d no less, great job! I can see a lot of potential.
Thanks for playing! I was initially working on an insect related game but when I heard about the game jam, I decided to change the theme up.
The gun was meant to delay the swarm by having the player try to kill the closest ants. It takes 10 shots to kill an ant and the goal was to make it like you were fighting a swarm, not trying to kill every ant out there.
