  • I enjoyed this quite a bit! Never finished a run but got half way a few times. Was a bit... floaty for my liking, but you had me coming back for more. Nice job, especially for a game jam.

Oooo.  This was a lovely discovery.  Love the feel.  The controls need a little tweaking but, love the level generation.  Great work

Thanks for playing and for the kind words/feedback! ❤️

I loved all the music choices in this! I wanted to just leave it open in the background and listen to it like a playlist, lol!

Developer

Thanks, I spent way too much time sourcing music lol

It was really cool! Visually pleasing, and easy to get right into, though I'll admit the camera speed made it tough to anticipate the next jump. I enjoyed the music and the ability to use my own was a nice little treat (platform jumping to Trivium was surprisingly satisfying!) .. are the levels generated based on the music data? Just curious as it seemed different when I loaded different tracks. Great entry and good work!

They are! I just seed the rng with data from the song so each are different but remain repeatable, was shocked how well it worked.

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!

Great job! I really like the environment of your game, and the great music, one little thing you can do is expand the for when the player jumps in the air so the player at least can get an idea where he is gonna land and the next run he can avoid doing that.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback. I think learning the limits of the jumps is maybe one of the hardest parts of the game currently so I'm grateful for the idea!

The idea is great and the visuals look good but for me the platforming felt a bit stiff. Once you make a jump you've pretty much sealed your fate since you can't correct it much in the air. Often I felt like I should have landed on a platform cause I but glitched out to falling from it. In those times I think it would be better to help the player by counting the landing. Maybe you intended the game to be this hard and I'm just really bad at it 😅

The game also did crash on my twice after trying to retry a level. It didn't happen every time but enough to mention.

The style is great, the music choices are fire, I only wish the platforming was a bit more forgiving. All that said, you still did a great job! :)

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you found stuff you liked in there. I think the difficulty mostly suffers mostly from lack of not-me playtesters. It's probably a lot easier to judge jumps and landings when you err...wrote the jumps and landings lol. Definitely going to poke at some difficulty tuning post-jam! Thanks again!

This is the best I could do, the game is really tough! Really interesting concept with avoiding picking up shield for a better multiplier too!

Thanks for playing and for the comment! In hindsight I did leave the game way too difficult, something to explore post-jam!
