Heck yea, I got Mommio a gift necklace and earrings!
3D games on jam are always impressive, and the game is funny! Sadly, the controls aren't the best (without the ability to strafe) and the object detection was a bit off (I could never turn off the lamp near the TV in living room, the character would just use items).
Awesome ! I was never sure if anyone ever seen an ending (there's actually multiple gifts depending on how many funds you have at the end)... that said, we have an update that addresses all of those things (X becomes drop, F becomes use, while keeping E as interact, as well as strafing and the difficulty was scaled back)... Play testing is everything, I suppose! Thanks for checking it out and the feedback!
Oooh, I wonder then - was diamond necklace and earring a good score? xD
Highest, actually ... getting the necklace and earrings means you had at least 100 funds left over. Impressive!
Eyyy, let's go!
Damn Kiddo!! Great humor and I'm always impressed to see 3d games this ambitious made in such a short time. Good job!
We appreciate it!
Kiddio may be possesed by the devil !
It's a shame you didn't have time to implement a "tackle kiddio" feature but hey it's a jam after all! lol. This was a good one! That kiddio has no manners! I was like really stressed for Dadio, great character building from jump :D I wasn't able to finish it just yet, but I might have to come back to it a few times...
Kiddo is practically villain status at this point ... it's definitely tough and the difficulty has been scaled back in an update we'll post as soon as the jam is over. Thanks for your kind words!
I am going to strangle Kiddio
Funny concept, and uniquely on-theme I think. Daddio did feel a bit awkward to control since he could only go forward or backwards, plus I feel like needing to recharge stamina so often interrupts the gameplay a bit too much. Otherwise, the UI was looked pretty clean, and I appreciated the backstory you included. A good entry!
We totally agree. We learned a lot from this jam, namely difficulty scaling, and having TPS control with no strafing is a bad idea. Thanks for trying it out, and your valuable feedback!
The game fits the theme really well, the idea is pretty funny, and the character model feels like it is staring into my soul.
ALL HAIL DADDIO....Thanks for the kind words and for trying out the game!
Let the kid watch the TV. Clearly, he doesn't OBEY enough.
haha ya know maybe he should have stopped to watch the TV for a few moments after he switched them on... hindsight being 20/20 and all... thanks for checking it out, we appreciate it!
Ill be honest. I played for about 10 mins before I wanted to beat the kid. Then I said screw it, and started turning everything on before he could.
If ya can't beat 'em ... join 'em?... Thanks for checking it out and the feedback!
The gameplay is,unsmooth,to say the least, the player has terrible control and the camera is janky.I also diddnt get the connection to the theme best. 3 /5.
Very nice idea! I really like the props you can pick up around the house. My only beef is that the character cannot walk sideways like in other tps games.
(Btw, that kid needs a serious grounding)
Yea we decided against it under the guise that "there's nothing to dodge" but can see that was a mistake. We'll definitely know better next time. Thanks for checking it out, and the feedback. Kiddo is grounded until further notice.
Player has terrible control and camera almost always inside your character
Sorry you had trouble with it. I can't imagine why your camera is inside the character, unless it was colliding with something behind it, but we appreciate you trying it out, and giving feedback.
Yes it colliding with something (level) but it is happening almost half of game
Interesting experience... you literally start to hate this little brat^^
The controls are a bit challenging and overall a funny idea!
It seems the controls aren't up to par, but we can't wait to apply this knowledge on the next go around. Thanks for checking it out!
This bothers me how the thirdperson control has no strafing.
I only get the hang of the easy mode. This game is pretty fun.
Thanks for the feedback! We may look at adding strafing directions after judging is over.
Could you create linux or web build?
There is indeed a web build... you may have caught it while I was uploading the last update. As far as a Linux build, I doubt I could get it done before the deadline as I'm currently visiting family.
3D is already impressive.
It might be because I'm using a touchpad, but I can't turn and walk at the same time.
Appreciate it. I'll have to do some research on that, as I don't have a touchpad to test with, but I'll rack my brain about it.
I would assume it is just palm rejection
