Cool game, really like the aesthetic. Think you captured the feeling of being underwater very well. Took me a while to figure out what to do since the environment is tricky to work with  - suggest adding a tutorial if you decide to develop this further. :) Well done!

The grappling mechanism was a bit convoluted because there's no rope or anything, but the "jetpack"  stuff was fun to play with.  The thing I  found most interesting was the slight camera movement like you often have when you're under water, which I  found pretty damn cool. We considered doing our game under water and it's definitely something to bring with us if we actually move forward with an oceanic style game!

Developer

oh ill share that with you if you want .. its a simple shader

Developer

sadly we did not plan well for our first jam and skipped many things like the rope .. or a better lvl
the combination of grappling  + jetpack ended up beiing fun

looks good, but to be honest: i have no idea what i should do/have to do. I'm also too dumb to figure it out ^^"

The artwork is very nice. You can really feel the ocean current dragging you around, which is fun to begin with. Unfortunately this made it a bit hard for me to progress through the level. You could try making the floating platforms a bit bigger, and maybe give an indication of the current. The function of the anchor also wasn’t really clear, it does not seem to work like a grappling hook? It is a cool prototype though!

Developer

Thank you very much !!..
Yes about the platforms
those were meant to be used grab points for the anchor,
but I will add more and post here when I do

more than a grappling hook is like a rope... not having the visualization of the rope was really sad to not have it on time

Thanks for the feedback

Had trouble with this one.  No indication of controls other than randomly clicking around.  Appear to have got stuck in ocean current? moving back and forth.  Art style is nice.  Congrats on your submission.

Developer

thanks !

We ran a bit short in time ,  sadly  so its just a prototype ..if/when i update it I wilm post her in case you want to give it a try

Developer

The controls are A-D for movement
And Left Click and Right click for a dash and a grappling hook
