I liked the take on the theme, but I was confused on what to do. I didn't notice I could interact with things on the first scenario, and as the other comments said, not being able to rotate in place makes this really hard. I think that could work as it's own mechanic but right now it seems more like an oversight.

I know what bulldozers do, but not the like, cylinders. Spraying water also didn't seem to do much? It felt like the only real solution was to bulldoze the area. It was also hard to tell WHAT I was going to interact with.


This is a good idea that needs work to make it fun to play. A solid base here though.

I managed to beat level 1, and it was kind of fun to plan out my attack plan, and put the bulldozers in the right place and use the sprinklers to keep it at bay long enough to do their jobs. I feel like there are some mechanics here that aren't being well conveyed to the player. It's a good idea, I like the idea of forming an attack plan to keep the fire away, it's fun.


Edit two. I thought I beat it. But then the fire jumped over three bulldozed areas. So, I don't know what the solution is.

Thank you so much for playing! Your criticism is on point and I completely agree. The fire works by averaging heat between adjacent tiles, and burning tiles increase in heat until they are out of fuel. What I should've implemented was ambient heat dissipation. Instead in a last-ditch effort (no pun intended) I put per-frame heat reduction in the trenches (which otherwise are just tiles with no fuel thus cannot burn). Water reduces heat per frame for the tile it's on, but yeah, it's too weak.

This is quite cool to see! This sure makes sense, no wonder why simply put water on fire tiles won't extinguish immediately.

Nice simple submission. I think its a really good take on the theme, uncontrollable fires spreading. I liked the background music too. I think the controls were a little tough for me, because I could rotate when I was stuck in a single spot, so I could aim unless I had 1 space to move towards that direction. Hope you get a chance to continue this game. Solid!

Thanks for checking it out! I only had a single day to work on it, hence the simplicity (and early submission time). I just didn't have time to fix rotating in place but I agree it needs adjustment. Hopefully the movable bulldozers and firefighters made the design a bit more complex/challenging :)

It's a cool game, I like the use of the theme with fire. I was a bit confused at first with what I should do, I didn't realize some of those things I could move around. I wish I could turn without moving, because sometimes I couldn't spray water in the right direction when in a tight place.
