Game Description
The Way Back Home is a short, 2D platformer with light puzzle elements. Inspired mainly by Celeste on the Pico-8 (in art, and difficulty on hardmode)
How does your game tie into the theme?
For me, cozy is family, sitting by a fire, drinking tea, Christmas trees, etc. I wanted to get the feeling of family sitting by a fire, telling stories in this game, forcing you to rest by a fire to get warm. It is a rather shallow incorporation of the theme to be honest, but at least it's something.

Nice platformer with some very charming graphics! Parallax effect was a bit strong imo and the platforming was a little unforgiving (I saw another user mention coyote time and I'd parrot that suggestion). Overall well done!
Nice game, lots of fun the visuals and audio are awesome and the implementation of the two characters felt great. Some of the jumps were a bit strange with the characters having non capsule like colliders and no coyote time. Great job!
Yeah, I didn't think about capsule colliders and I think coyote time, they would have definitely made the game better though. Thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
I like this platformer!
Thanks!
I liked it! The pixel art was really good and I loved the CRT effect. Also I got to the secret room! (idk how)
Haha, glad you liked it!
And good job finding the secret room!
Sorry· I could not figure out out start the game. I could navigate the menu (tab and arrow keys) but enter did not start the game.
What OS are you using?
I am running Linux
If you need really need want to, you can open the project file from the "Assets and Project File" and run it from the Godot engine
Use Z instead of enter (I modified the original Godot ui controls)
Should have probably made that more obvious... sorry!
